I'm writing every organization That I can think of to get the word out & warn the public that there are gangs of s****. />
At Loveland ski area on 1.12.17
It started as a great day, great powder no lines, decent weather. A little after 11 am we stopped for lunch, & I left my board in the board rack west of the rental building. the space provided by the ski are for boards since they are not allowed in the building. When I came out my board was gone. After looking around for it I reported it missing to the Administration office Where I found a unbelievable sense of :oh well not our problem: It seemed as if this was a everyday occurrence, I was offered absolutely no assistance other than scrap of paper to write a description of my board on. No offer to help look for it No offer to contact "security"
(In fact I was told there is absolutely no security on the mountain except on the weekends. I find that appalling in this time we live in) No offer to review the security footage to identify a suspect. (IN FACT I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE IS NO VIDEO SECURITY ON THE MOUNTAIN. I FIND THAT APAULING IN THIS TIME WE LIVE IN!) No offer to provide me a loaner board to finish out the day so the last half of the day & our trip wasn't wasted. No offer to contact the local police. And absolutely no encouragement that I would ever see my board again.
If you need a good winter ski season story, I'd really like to know how many boards are reported stolen from Loveland ski area & the others & if the other areas have video security or not. At least please let people know that s****. />
