On wednesday october 16 2011, I made a payment to isabel rooney of Love That Bag LLC. she runs a consignment store for designer items on malleries.com. I made a payment for $4700 for a chanel flap i wanted so badly. On Novermber 1, 2011 i received the bag in London, i was there at that time. The bag was in good condition and i was pleased with my purchase.I made another enquiry for another bagand on march 8,2012 she found the particular bag and offered it to me for purchase. and on 18/03/2012 i made a deposit of 2500 paid via western union. i chose a layaway plan for the bag and hoped to send the balance in another week. afterwards i went got into series of family misfortunes. i reached out to isabel on august 29/2012 to explain my situation to her and asked for more time to conclude the transaction, she said it was fine and she would hold it till whenever i was ready.she contacted me on 6th of november asking if things had gotten better and when i would be able to make conclude on my purchase. we both never communicated after that, she never contacted me about the bag and i also being overwhelmed with my situation didnt contact her either. on september5,2014 i contacted her to say i would no longer be able to purchase the bag due to my present situation but would like to pick something of the same value in her store, she didnt reply me and all other attempts to reach her proved abortive.
on septermber15,2015 i finaly decided to use malleries in reaching out to her by going to her store and enquiring about a bag, it was only at that time she replied me and said she no longer used the mails i was contacting her on and that was why she was unable to see my mails. she then also said she would try to find me another bag but it wil take time. at that point i told her i was only in the united states for a brief period of time and if it was okay, we could both count our loses with me agreeing to part with more due to the inconveniences i had caused her, and that was when the troube began. she went back and finaly found our mails and said she held the bag for so long and incured alot of cost with holding this one bag and she can only offer me $500 store credit towards another item in her store and she ended up selling the bag at a loss of $2500 as against the $4500 he intended to sell it. now up til the last time i saw this bag listed on malleries it was still going for well over $4000 and i told her about my being aware of that.she denied it was the same bag, and i told her she wasnt being fair to me. i am ready to part with a good amount to please her but she offering me $500 was not good enough+she sells luxury items there was nothing i could purrchase in her store for $500. she said i had forfeited my money by not being in contact. i tried to contact her severally but she never responded. she never gave me any conditions for layaway and never told me she had sold off the bag or that our transaction had been voided. i have heard nothing from her since 2012. she gave me no conditions for this purchase. while i agree i caused her some inconveniniences i doubt this is the way to go about it, by ripping me off and denying me what i paid part for. i would like for isabel rooney of love that bag LLC and Malleries to be aware of this. this is totally wrong and there is a better way to end this transaction.
