This woman claims to have a condo in Santa Monica. She claims she and her family work for the military healthcare systems and are being transferred to other cities.
They decided to rent their place out instead of selling it. They asked for lots of personal information including address, phone number etc. Then they emailed to say they approve my profile and would like to forward documents to me via FEDEX from their attorney but needed the security deposit to confirm commitment. Apartments in that area currently rent for $3,000.00 and higher. Their English appears like the scam is from some other country where English is not a national language. Too many errors.
There is a real estate sign infront of the apartment but these people said they had originally hired the real estate company to sell the property but decided to rent it themselves instead. So to ignore the sign. They had cancelled their sales agreement with them.
I contacted her as well and received the same email back. I overlooked the broken English because she sent me a pic of her and husband and he's military, so it's possible she can be from another country. SCAM.
Loretta Donaldson Loretta Donald-son Dr. Loretta Donaldson. Said she and her family worked out of state. Said she was looking for a renter instead of selling it. Couldn’t let me view the unit. Asked to send items via FEDEX.
Sent a fake picture of "her and her husband”. Rent was well below the surrounding neighborhood. ABSOLUTE SCAM. BLOCK THIS CONTACT: [email protected][email protected] Poor grammar, strange capitalizations and punctuation. Do not communicate with this scammer. Fake ad, fake story, fake person!
Basically copying the same thing the other person wrote because this same exact posting and correspondence happened to me but in Baltimore! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
