There is no clear description of their advertising costs. As to this will cost that, and so on.

They make it look free, but, once you spent a lot of time uploading, and it takes forever, the info goes to a sales person. You have to speak with a person in order for them to 'approve' your ID which is fine.

However, that is not entirely the reason why. Then they waste more time and try to trick you into believing you have to be on their 'other sites' and that will cost you a lot. We all hate wasting time, thus, tread carefully, and call them before you do all the work. They have quite a few complaints here which I sadly missed.

REMINDER: Deception is only one thing, deception. Omitting important facts is deception.

LOOP NET PRICING - FALSE ADVERTISING

I signed up for Loop Net for a monthly subscription of $69/month intending to only use the premium listing services until my one and only building I have was filled. When I signed up on the site for the premium listing it said it was month-to-month. Nowhere in the description did it say it was month-to-month but you are signing a contract for one year and that even after I placed an end of term on April 30, 2018, after all, vacant units were filled, that I would remain being billed. I immediately logged onto my account after realizing that and conveniently enough I can't see their pricing. I reached out to Loop Net and they have been no help and now I'm paying $69 per month of zero use. This needs to be addressed immediately because it lends the buyer to believe something that isn't true and then they "hide" the price list.

Their price list is false advertising and will force you to commit to a service that you do not want to use. BUYER BEWARE!

Dealing with Loopnet feels a lot like getting mugged.

(1) The customer service is horrible - it's not the reps' fault, they're usually pretty nice (you can tell they feel sorry for the customers due to LoopNet's horrific billing practices), but a lot of LoopNet's policies are designed to swindle their consumers.

(2) If you dispute a charge on your credit card, they send their legal team after you and your credit card company.

(3) If you miss the cancellation cutoff point by even a second, you are locked in for another year . . . having to pay upwards of $5,000 to $6,000 per year, all without the ability to cancel or contest the charges without having to face their legal team.

(4) Once upon a time, LoopNet was a fantastic company offering valued services at a reasonable price. After they were acquired by CoStar, these hostile billing practices will NOT FAIL to leave a bad taste in your mouth. PERMANENTLY.

I'd like to say that CoStar is most likely also a horrible company (going by LoopNet's newly hostile attitude), but I've never bothered to find out . . . I can't bring myself to subscribe to CoStar's services after this ongoing horrific experience with LoopNet that my company and I were forced to endure for two years.

LoopNet is the worst real estate and/or web company that I, or any of my co-workers and colleagues, have ever had to deal with. Please save yourselves the trouble.
