Loman Auto Sales & Service Reviews

  • Mar 20, 2018

Had heard about Loman Auto through their various media ads stating that they were for the people and that everyone drives. Well this is true, but the sad part is that everyone drives is not meant for no longer than a week in my case.

After being hoodwinked by another car dealership by a major company in the auto industry (name withheld due to lawsuit), I found myself in need of a vehicle ASAP, due to an undiagnosed heart condition and the fact that I suffer from degenerative arthritis in my left ankle.

I and my mother were greeted pleasantly and introduced to a salesman named John, who appeared to be on the up and up and when I selected a Buick 2012 Enclave, he worked out the loan with a bank that his company was familiar with on a regular basis.

The following Monday, I picked up the car and drove back to Manhattan using the George Washington Bridge. About a week later I noticed that my steering was faulty and I called and was told to bring the care back.

So far so good, or so I thought because they argued about even lending a loaner as first and then when they did they requested that I bring the car back that they had loaned to me even though there was no definite time table for when my car would be fixed.

On the way back to New Jersey to return the loaner, some woman high on medication decides to make a one lane ramp into a two way ramp and sideswipes me damaging the front of the loaner vehicle.

When I arrive at the dealership they acted like it was my fault and argued with me about being responsible even though I had the correct information of the woman that crashed into me. Finally Mike, called a few days later and said that they were able to locate the woman in question and that she admitted to causing the accident, still I had no use of the car even though what I was paying too amounted to the price of a brand new car, and I was forced to use another car that had signs mold and misuse all over the interior. It was so bad that I had to spray the insides repeatedly with pesticide and disinfectant to stop the itching and scratching.

I stay on the phone with the man who runs the service department (Jeff) who lied and told me that they had fixed it and that they were sending to a GMC dealership across the street to check on everything, but in all actuality there is no such dealership.

About two months later I finally had my car back and figured that there should be no more problems but then the steering wheel started to fight me and I kept losing power steering fluid so I called them again and they said for me to bring it back but there was a lot of attitude and the once polite salesman (John) tried to explain to me that he had bought a brand new car before and the next week something went wrong with it and you just have to deal with it.

He is obviously ignoring my health condition or the fact that I have to travel to another state every time something goes wrong, so on the interim I decided to use the warranty that I had paid an extra thousand dollars and use a GMC dealership in the City and this is where I uncovered something else phony about Loman’s Auto.

They tell you that this warranty is good everywhere in the fifty states, but they purposely avoid telling you that it is only good for fifty miles from the dealership. Imagine that, so if I get stuck 60 miles from Loman, I am just screwed and have to pay out of my pocket, but the irony of this is that these people see nothing wrong with their shady business practices.

The next blow came when I had the car checked by the GMC mechanic in the Bronx and he told me that I should not even be driving this vehicle because of the possibility that I wouldn’t be able to steer it and crash and when I called back and questioned Jeff about what I was to do he suggested that I bring the car back, and when I explained the problem he proceeded to tell me that it was my problem figuring out how to get it there.

About two days later I am preparing to bring the car to Loman’s when everything shuts down and then a torrential storm hits the tristate area and I am stuck in the storm with no heat for hours until Geico tows me to Loman’s.

I am soaking wet and they don’t even have enough common sense to offer me something warm to drink and after they tell me to leave the car outside they say that they will call me when it is ready, and when I ask how long they tell me they don’t know.

I had to put up a fight to be driven back to the train station so I could make it home and then I wound up in another torrential storm upon returning to the New York City.

After fighting with the flu for two weeks they called me to come pick up the car because I was on them every single day about the fact that I a paying for something that doesn’t work and when they do tell me to pick up the car they are smiling and when I get in too drive it back to New York, I see why. They had left the cover to the battery off and there was oil all over the hubcaps and there were exposed areas just left open.

I swore that if I went back there I wouldn’t be able to contain my anger so I purposely never called them again but I did contact GM Financial who stated that they would make a report yet they still tried to decrease the next three monthly payments instead of just giving me something that works.

I am forced to seek legal counsel now because of all the deceit and lying and loss of wages incurred by this fiasco.

I WISH I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW FOR LOMAN AUTO SALES IN WOODBRIDGE, NJ. I WAS TOTALLY HUMILIATED BY THE SALES MANAGER MAN WHO BELITTLED ME ABOUT MY CREDIT SCORE AN HOW I WAS NOT ELIGIBLE TO GET THE CAR/ TRUCK I WANTED EVEN THOUGH THE COMMERCIALS SAY LOMAN AUTO DOESNT LOOK AT YOUR CREDIT. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME DRIVING FROM THE NYC, BAYONNE, JERSEY CITY AREA LOOKING FOR A DEAL AT LOMAN AUTO SALES WHO SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FOR THEIR FALSE TV, INTERNET AND RADIO ADVERTISEMENTS. MR. JOHN LOMAN IF YOU CALL ME PERSONALLY I CAN CHANGE MY REVIEW UNTIL THEN IM STANDING FIRM. MR. LOMAN YOU NEED TO EVALUATE YOUR EMPOYEES ESPECIALLY "THE ONES THAT THINK "HE" AND "HIS BROTHER" ARE BETTER AND MORE VALUABLE TO LOMAN AUTO THAN YOURSELF. SINCERELY, ANDREA B. OF JERSEY CITY, NJ

A car was purchased at loman ford aka loman auto aka loman kia aka loman auto group aka farmers insurance on march 19th. 820 US Highway 1 Woodbridge NJ 07095. $1000 cash in total was put down and $1500 for a trade. I gave them a check initally but told them to tear it up because we were going to give them cash. The we signed and drove the car off. 1 day later i was called and told the salesman who sold us the car was fired and they need all my info again.

we transferred the plates. Then i was told they cant get a plate off. They will duplicate it. Then they registered the car not once but a 2nd time. They were suppose to give us $181. Then we got the run around. Then we got the plates and registration. Thinking all was done. I wrote it off.

May 9th after the first payment was made to the bank. I get a call from 908 587 4609 from a young lady named Marquita representing Loman collections. I was told we owed $500. I told her the car is bought and paid for how is this possible. She got irate and said if i dont pay she will put this on my credit and threatened to sue me for $500. She called me a felon and said I have to pay or else. They were suppose to tear the check up not cash it. I gave $1000 down and 1500 on the trade. The bill of sale doesnt lie. I have witnesses

The Marquita proceeds on calling me. I asked her to no call and to DNC. She then called people on my list saying I owe $500. Im a felon and demanded money from them or I was going to jail. How can someone defame your name trying to allegedly collect a debt.

After being harrassed, embarrased and defamed to friends and family. Icalled the number from lomans I have 732 510 7424. I spoke with Chris the manager. He stated he didnt know what was going on. he said a debts owed. I asked then why did the dealer let me drive if a debts owed. The paperwork dont say I owe a debt. He got quiet. Then I asked him someone is representing your company telling business we gave you but you have no idea. We gave them social # etc. Thats something to not take lightly. With all this fraud going on how can you not know. He then hung up on me. What kind of bad business, invasion of privacy, violation of FDCA laws, scams are they running out of this dealer ship. How can they be in business.
