I got a call from local edge few months ago, they told me that they can get me allot more clients and all these good things they can do for me so I signed up with the with a promise of new clients, I signed a contract like a Moran.. I signed a 9month contract 4 months in and $1500.00 spent already and I still did not get one client from them, now I'm working extra hard not providing food for my family as I should because I'm trying to pay local edge there $300.00 every month so they don't mess up my credit score... I called them yesterday and I told them I want to cancel this bullshit contract, they told me I can't, I told them that they promised me new clients and I did not get any clients from them since we started 4months ago they responded by saying they got me 160 website views, I laughed, I told them that website views don't make me any money, clients that call for services do, they got an attitude with me and basically told me I got a 9month contract that I can't cancel or they will put that on my credit report so I'm screwed I have to pay them the next 5 months $300.00 a month for no results nothing not one client.. I'm discussed with local edge and there scheming mother company Herst media.. Don't use them for anything and don't sign any contracts because once you do they will basically tell you to go f**k yourself when u complain about there none performance for your hard earned money... I will never use Herst media or local edge for anything ever in my life!!!

I was looking for a reputable company to improve my search engine rankings for my online market. I met with a Hearst Media Local Edge company representative Caryn Dunayer. She was friendly, but had vague answers to questions about exactly what would be happening, and who actually would be doing the work.
She presented a list of keyphrases that supposedly generated millions of searches a month and a contract that I was unwilling to sign until I had a written statement from her supervisor Pablo Mangual that I could be released from it if they did not produce the results they promised. She told me personally to my face that they would never hold me to a contract if they did not produce substantial and trackable results.
What I got after 5 months and $4500 was ZERO RESULTS, POOR COMMUNICATION, and after THOUSANDS spent now I am receiving calls daily from a debt collector.
When I approached them to cancel, I got the run around for a month about canceling their services (or lack thereof) despite having verbal and written statements from my salesperson, and her supervisor about being released from my contract if they did not product results.
When I approached them with documented evidence that they did not produce results, I was told that since they had access to the Ecommerce area of my website, that they were “Monitoring” my “Sales” ( unknown to me ) to gauge the success of their supposed efforts, and they had gone up . . . but they provided zero proof that what THEY were doing was the cause in the increase in sales. In fact, other than a few small changes of a couple of webpages, I could not tell you ANYTHING they did.
Funny thing is that I was running Facebook ads alongside their program to increase exposure immediately and generate sales (which was VERY EFFECTIVE), as Hearst Media / Local Edge told me it would take up to 6 months to see the best results at $900 a month. I don't like to put all my eggs in one basket, and I am so glad I did not.
I immediately removed them from having access to my website upon learning that they were accessing areas of my company website that they did not have permission to monitor. What I got next was an invoice for $8500 for work that was not, and never would be completed.
To add to this NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE with Hearst Media, they turned this over to a collection agency despite the fact that AGAIN, I have VERBAL and WRITTEN STATEMENTS saying that I would be released no problem if they did not produce results as well as documented evidence that they did not.
For me, my next step involves more expense as they are trying to ruin my credit and a visit to my attorney.
For you, I highly recommend you run like hell if you hear the words Hearst Media, Local Edge, Hearst Media Services.
