The Living Scriptures company has been billing me for 45 videos I never ordered or agreed to receive. The response I got from them prior to having all of their future ACH transaction blocked was...
"You have a verbal order placed in 12-12-2014 which at that time we gave you free promotional items, such has the music DVDs, the Joseph and Emma collection, the Mormon Hymn Classics the Miracle collections and the Visit Israel series. By you accepting the box on bonus material you had to have known at that time that something has transpired on your account.I can pass on the discount if you would like to payoff the account or it will continue as is."
I have one signed contract with these people. That contract says I agreed to buy 47 videos at a pretty high cost. No more. I never agreed to purchase anything other than the contents of the first sale order, and they say that I verbally communicated agreement to a further 45 videos that I clearly chose NOT to receive during the initial sales visit. The fact that they can't produce anything proving I ordered just shows how shady and dishonest they are. They think they can keep slipping 60+ dollar charges in every month indefinitely. Very dishonest and they should be sued for intestate wire fraud as they are using ACH transactions to perpetuate their fraud.
This company is the definition of SCAM artists. Avoid them at all costs, and when the nice young man from church comes knocking representing them, tell him he should find a job for an honest company that will not scam the religious. Then send him packing. (make sure to call your ward members too as they use church directories to peddle their wares)
