While I grew up in Port Richmond I decided to stop here with my wife on the way home from work on a Wednesday evening. After parking 3 blocks away we finally arrived so my wife could have some dairy free dessert. We walked in and were scowled at. Gee, I am sorry we are not in our 20's. I forgot when you all were born no one wants to live or work in Fishtown. The young guy behind the counter was unfriendly, did not answer our questions. It was like talking to a paper bag, except that a paper bag has a bit more personality. After my wife ordered a vegan dish and I ordered regular ice cream I bit into it and decided I did not like what I ordered. After spending over $11 for 2 mediocre sizes of dessert I asked if I could get something else. I am 51 years old and had a 22 year old lecture me about how I should have asked for samples before ordering. Why didn't you offer them? I am sorry that I am not on your Facebook page or I am not your buddy from wherever but don't I deserve some respect? I am not cocky not ignorant. While I walked out and eventually threw my cup of slop in the trash. I paid cash so I could not get my money back from my credit card. Drive away future customers. We have been to other ice cream shops in and around the city. We have never been treated this badly. While my review of this dive won't matter because every 15-35 year old will give this place rave reviews for overpriced ice cream. Oh, you have vegan ice cream? Why do you share space with a pizza place that uses cheese? Why do you serve regular ice cream? Let' see! It is popular to be vegan in North Philly! Fishtown is Kensington and North Philly. I wonder how the owners/owner did their interviews when deciding who to hire. Let's just hire the most ignorant people possible? Perhaps if a couple is older than you then maybe you should show some respect? I forgot, all of the broke hipsters ride thier bikes over tp your place. My question is, "If you wanted to offer frozen treats to everyone why aren't you in Grey's Ferry or Somerton?" The next time offer a refund. My wife's response to the vegan ice cream was, "We have had better from Trader Joes." I m absolutely disgusted with this establishment. It ought to be a complete and utter embarrassment to Fishtown!
