Hello, My name is Edwin R, son of the person with the following complaint.
My father, William R, who will be 80 years old in February, has been in the business of home rentals in Columbus for over thirty years, dealing with various contractors, realtors, housing and utility businesses. Recently, he purchased a home in Sugar Grove, Ohio, which runs on propane. A rental tank was on the property and he immediately called the owner, Litter Quality Propane, PO Box 297, in Chillicothe, Ohio 45601, (740) 773-2196) to request to purchase it, but they denied the sell of the tank.
So, my father requested that they come and remove it because he was going to purchase one for his property. Since his purchase back in June or July of 2016, my father has 8 letters from the company and 1 from a collection agency requesting that he pays for their removal of their propane container, and if they did not come and remove it, he would have someone remove and strap it. The company soon arrived and removed the tank. Litter Quality Propane soon started sending letters of collection for the removal for a debt of approximately $250.00. Now that the collection agency has been contacted, the debt is over $300.00. the collection agency is TekCollect, PO Box 1269, Columbus, Ohio 43216, (866) 617-4933.
My father is very active in his business and dealing and caring for his finances, always paying his bills and workers on time. He has great credit and a good and long standing relationship with various Financial Institutes, especially over a 40 year relationship with Huntington Bank. I would like to not have TekCollect or Litter Quality Propane to tarnish my father's reputation by attempting to collect something that is not owed them and at the same time go against his credit. Would you please contact both or either company and investigate their reason in having to charge my father for their property when, especially since they are probably going to re-rent it to another customer?
