A guitar pedal should be that, a guitar pedal. Not the M5 by Line 6. After using it for a while, the display demands an "update". So I have to:
- register on their site online, give them my data (for them to sell)
- download their stupid app "line 6 monkey" (by now it's me who feels like a monkey)
- buy 2 midi cables to download the "update", midi cables that I'm never going to use again.
So I download the update. By the end of the download, the screen goes blank, and that's the end of the unit.
Line 6 refuses to offer any solution, so I ask them to assume the responsability of the disposal of an objet that's impossible to recycle. Still waiting for an answer, but I know what will it be, if any: "your problem".
HERE'S SOME FREE ADVICE: NEVER, NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM LINE 6, A COMPANY THAT COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR CARBON FOOTPRINT, LET ALONE THEIR CUSTOMERS' SATISFACTION.
