I had been a resident of Second Life for over 10 years. Last year someone accused me of age play which I have never nor would ever do. Linden labs requires no proof when it comes to something like this . Before they used to listen residents even not having a premium account could call in and explain their side. Now you submit a ticket and you basically get the same copy and paste answers regardless of if the accusations are true or not. I have tried writting a letter sending it certified mail and recieved no reponse.
This accusation in itself has caused me emotional damage as I am being called a child molester without any consideration to the fact that I did not do it. Now it has become more to me then simply getting my account back and losing out on thousands of dollars. The person or persond that filed the report slandared my name and linden labs is refusing to listen and admit this is wrong. I have lost out on much more then money in this as I would never do anything like this the thought makes me ill as I had reported people for age-play many times over the years and unlike most provide picture proof.
Linden Labs never even lets anyone know if there was proof so a person can tell if their account was hacked into or not which is common in second life with people stealing account information. I am still uncertain what happened and why all I know is that I did NOT do it and they are refusing to step off their high horse and talk about things and respond with anything more then copy and paste answers accusing me of something I'd NEVER do.
I authorised a payment for a game subscription for $28.47, I kep getting emails saying "payment successful for different charges" I contacted straight away notifying of these transactions and a case was opened, I then received an email in July saying that the charges would be fully refunded and that the case was now closed. I assumed this had happened , my husband opened the statement today to discover this had not yet been done almost 3 months later!!!
LINDEN LABS are abusive scheming conniving crooks who preys on the disabled. Majority of their members are disabled. Many can''t walk and their only source of socializing is second life and sansar. Everyone mostly in Second Life knows this, Many are displeased but want say anything because they rely on second life for socialization. I am one of those. I wasn't when I first started the game. I was active in my studies in college when i developed a brain infection that supposed to have killed me. During that time my accounts were stolen.
Took linden labs 7 months to return them and when i got them back all my lindens aproximately 148,000$L was stikeb exceot 12$L. I was told by MaryH I would get it back. when i asked for it once my account was returned I was told no because I wasn't a premium member. I purchased the premium package. My daughter and i had share one premium account i paid for. This same card Linden Lab had charged for over a year while I was sick and even afterwards without my permission or knowledge. When i filed a complaint I was sent from point A to Z;
I used this account to purchase land then sell it. Like Real Life I was a broker, seller of land. I would win the auctions and immediately sell it. Immediately because when i went into an auction, I already had the buyer lined up and I would report what the bid was and they will tell me either to bid higher or quit. So after those bids, i would sell them. Linden Labs charged me for every land i purchased, saying i didn't sell them before my due date therefore I was liable for the bill and to make matters worse, they charged the ones I sold the land to so in essence they got paid twice for one sale.
They charged me $592.80. My social security is just over $400. I asked why they said I didn't sell in time enough. They banned my account. I had $L35000 in it that I was going to transfer into cash which would have been about $158. I told them to put that towards the bill. I was told that it would be about $60. I said no I just figured that out before you banned my account. I asked for installments, desperate to get back online for i had someone who was going to make a $L50,000 purchase on 2 regions I had just purchased. No was the answer.
They ended up charging me for those two regions which I couldn't sell because they locked me out. In addition they banned 8 of my friends accounts because they couldn't reach me and said their accounts were mine, which wasn't. They banned them because they wouldn't reveal my identity they eventually said and i said ludicrous. They have all that from sign up but because i refused to pay, they made my family and friends pay by banning their accounts. They never refunded my money they stole out of my account.
They double billed the land i sold by billing me and my clients. They banned my family and friends account and to make matters worse, i paid to have two stores on Market Place, I have no access to it because the banned my account but yet they didn't take my store down and they are pocketing every penny my stores make. I know i get the email notifications daily of purchases made on my stores that I've never seen a penny of and never will because Linden Greedy Labs is pocketing it and making a profit off of my creations. They are vile and repulsive of the worse kind!
