After having to deal with the COO/principal on several occasions, Rebecca White, I am ultimately disgusted. I am amazed that this woman is able to work in the field of education, well, maybe not because the job was handed to her. She has no experience teaching at the high school level or being a principal. Mr. Marrone have her the job because she is a close friend. While I am not an expert on office politics most places shy away from that because of potential favoritism. It is very obvious that Ms. White gets away with being a lazy and horrible administrator because she is allowed to. Most teachers would expect an administrator of a school to be a leader, and upscale and professional person. This woman is not professional, she raises her voice at students, parents, teachers, and other staff, including those from DHS, and other social service providers. While she raises her voice, she throws her hands around and threats around as though they are a frisbee. Her height and weight are used as threat tactics with both men and women. I have attempted to speak with this principal on the phone, and email, and have received the exact same nasty responses. I can never reach her after 3:30. She is continually nasty, and incredibly angry, immensely defensive about what a wonderful job she is doing. If she is doing such a wonderful job then why is she always sitting down behind a desk? A person that leads a school greets students at the door and always walks the hallway. Why is she continually being so vindictive against everyone who is trying to work with her? When I have spoken to Mr. Marrone about Ms. White he stated, "She is very well prepared for her job and she is an excellent COO, we absolutely would not function without her." Within my entire life I have never met someone so obnoxious, hideous, vulgar, crass, detestable, or disagreeable. The high school students consistently make fun of her behind her back, stating things too vulgar to write on this site. They do not respect her but know that this school might be their last chance so they somehow tolerate her. While the public is led to believe this school is totally private school , it is not. There is public money involved. The reason why this school exists is because there has to be an option for potential drop outs. If you are a parent or guardian I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere to educate your child. There are better schools out there that are not represented by a bunch of threats and lies. I would suggest that if you truly want to send a child here then ask yourself this question, 'Are these the type of people you want settling examples for your child? Do you want them to start yelling and threatening people when they don't agree with others?' If this was a supermarket, or restaurant and a manager acted like this they would be disciplined and then fired. Oh, I forgot, taxpayers fund the schools but the administration at this school just acts inappropriately and everything is fine and dandy!
