We paid for a home warranty August 2021, and filed our first and only claim in May 2022 for an air conditioning compressor unit that went out. The contracted repairman stated that the compressor is not fixable and stated they would need to replace it. Liberty waited a week to get back to us and then told us that the AC unit had rust on the coils and because of this they were not going to pay.

Of course, it has rust on it, the unit is over 10 years old and sets outside. They have stated that this is written somewhere in the policy, but I have never heard of such a thing. I was with American Home Shield for 3 years, they were a little slow, but they always paid. I learned my lesson, I will spend the extra money for a warranty company that actually pays for repairs.

Don't buy Liberty Home Guard, they are a RIP OFF!!

We bought $750 home policy in may 2021, we were told ac/ unit WAS totaly covered, did NOT matter age of unit, etc, that they would try repair/fix first if any issues. I told them I am disabled, over 60 yrs diabetic , brain stem compression and dysautonomia(cant regulate my body temp) so important for us to choose a company that DOES cover ac for ANY issues, even full replacement, should need be.

They said YES it does, well they LIE!! Aug 2021 ac was found to be NON repairable, and i went 14 days with NO ac!! this is NOT acceptable. during this time their Tech came out, $75 fee, lied, about diagnosis(claimed fan needed) my husband, who is a mechanice caught their tech NOT doing the needed pressure tests/not using gauges and we reported it, and LHG told us we could then get our tech (we had to pay another $100 to our tech!!) and he diagnosed it as NOT fixable and new unit needed, cost of $6900, LHG refused to pay any of the $6900 and had us endure 14 days of AZ heat 111 114 degrees during this time. Anyone able to get $$ out of this company?

pls email me as someone should class action sue these scam company. I getonly $1150 month disability and it took 7 months of my $$ to pay for the ac AVOID buying a policy with LHG at all costs!!

I first contacted Liberty Home Guard in 2019 and signed up for a one-year-old plan. I spoke to a David Murry, Ben Jacobs, and one of their sales persons. Mr. Murry told me that although the company was new in the Home Warrantee business that their company was rated as one of the top 10 companies in that industry.

I was referred to one of the other agents who was going to help me get the coverage I wanted. After a few emails that were not answered I called the company on a Saturday but was told that the number was dis-connected. When I heard that I filed a dispute with my credit card. But it turned out that their number had not been dis-connected but rather a phone problem they had on that Saturday.

I was going to call my credit card company back after talking to Mr. Murry to tell them I wanted to get the plan but as time went by it didn't happen.

However, in December of 2020 one of their agents called me about renewing the policy. I explained that I had canceled the other policy and told him why. He went on to try to convince me that I should try them out saying how great their coverage was, how happy their customers were so I decided to give them a try.

HORRIBLE COMPANY!! I've been trying since September to get an AC replaced, and they dragged it out to December, then ordered all the wrong equipment ($3100). I returned the equipment and asked for a refund on the equipment and my membership ($3200) because of the nightmare this has been.

They NEVER do anything. I call and call and call. I send email after email. I'm left on hold forever and no supervisor will contact me. I tried disputing it with my credit card company and they have done nothing after weeks and weeks. This has been such a horrible nightmare. If anyone has any advice to help me get my money back, I would appreciate it!
