Purchased a hood for a Foxbody Mustang off of EBay from Hood4sale. (AKA; Liberty Fiberglass, Racecraft US, Eric Holt) Accepted Visa or MasterCard only (No PayPal to avoid fees associated with eBay and PayPal.) Hood arrived after and additional $145 was charged to my card for shipping and crating fee. Opened box to find the worst molded fiberglass hood I have seen in my life. Hood was transparent, lacked gel coat and had pin holes everywhere. Contacted Eric Holt, the owner at 513-373-8082 in regards to a partial refund. Refund was not an option. Left negative feedback as needed on eBay. He then opened a non payment dispute via eBay.
***Remember me paying via credit card and not pay pal?? eBay had no record of the payment. Hood4sale then filed a report of extortion against me for leaving negative feedback due to no refund. Contacted eBay and an investigation is underway, as many other individuals have complained of similar issues. From this point I cancelled my credit card due to not knowing what else this puke would pull. This guy sells junk, and his reputation speaks for itself. Buyers beware!!
Bought a fiberglass hood through ebay. Called Eric Holt with Liberty Fiberglass on a Monday, paid for the hood, gave him my shipping information. He said he'd text me with the delivery info. Call him Thursday, said he was out of town and would get me the shipping info late Friday. Texted him on Friday and asked if the hood had even shipped yet. He said it had and that he would get me the shipping info on Monday, out of town again. He texted me at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with the shipping info. According ot the shiiping paperwork - the shipper didn't recieve the hood until 3:00 pm pn Monday. On his seller info it said that it would be shipped FedEx. It was shipped through Southeastern Freight and then transferred to Dayton Freight. The shipping companies were great. Once they received the hood on Monday, I received the hood on Friday.
Didn't notice anything with the hood when we initially inspected it. Took it to the body shop on Monday to have them paint it. They said it was the worst fiberglass job they had ever seen. I'm sure they've seen a lot in their 51 years of doing business. When they started priming the hood, the fiberglass started popping up. There was no way this company was going to do anything about their hood. We ended up paying the body shop an extra $150 to fix the fiberglass.
They sell through Ebay, but you can't pay through PayPal, you have to call them direct and pay with a credit card. The shipping is not COD as stated on Ebay. You pay this to the seller as well. They don't like to respond to your emails through Ebay either. I defintely wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Make sure you search the company on the internet.
