I needed to rent a dumpster for the construction work that I am doing for my business. I found Liberty online and thought they would be a good fit. I orignally wanted to do same day pick up to not let the dumpster sit too long, but they said they don't do that. So I agreed to a next day pick up. Dumpster was rented and delivered, ready to be used.
Later that same day, the dumpster was picked up before we could put any of the debris in. I contacted the company and the woman I spoke to said that I requested same day pick up. I reminded her of the email she had sent me saying they would pick it up the next day, but she dismissed it and kept saying it was because I had requested same day pick up. I gave up and tried contacting the owner, but no response. So that's $250 lost.
A week and a half later, I wake up to another charge from the company for about $40. When I called, the same woman had told me that is was for an overweight fee. I ask how can there be an overweight fee on nothing. She told me the dispatch reported a weight and when I had reminded her that no debris was picked up, she refused to acknowledge that fact and continued on saying what the charge was for. I hung up and called my bank to cancel the card that I had used with them and issued a charge back on the two charges.
A week after that happened, I get an invoice from the company again, this time for $750. I contact them again, pissed off at this point to see why they are charging me more money. The man I spoke to said that it was an overweight charge for almost 2 tons, nearly 4000 pounds! The construction job we are doing is just interior walls in a small building, nothing major. There is no way we'll hit 1000 pounds, no way we have 4000 pounds. I tell the man that the dumpster had nothing in it and he was shocked and didn't know that fact. He put in a dispute claim, so we'll see how that goes. I have to wait 24 to 48 hours for that to happen.
This company has been scamming me since the moment I ordered with them and I refuse to let them harass me and take money from me.
