I saw an SUV online and contact Lexus of Orlando. I was told that the vehicles they sell are in good condition and they would send cars to auction if they have major problems. My husband rode the train to Winter Park and was taken to the dealership. For the simple fact that we trusted what we were told over the phone, papers were signed purchasing the car before he even saw it. He did not test drive it or listen to it because we just knew that a Lexus dealership wouldn't sell anything that wasn't in good repair. We were told it was ready to go. Neeedless to say this was a total mistake and a serious error in judgement trusting a salesman. The car was driven home and immediately I contacted the dealership regarding a noise as a matter of fact it was the very next day. Upon taking the vehicle to a mechanic it was discovered that the car has major issues. It needs a timing chain and something about a turbo that will cost $3500 to repair which is half of the total cost of the car. This has been an ongoing issue and we were totally deceived!!! We should have never trusted the saleman to begin with and did our own research and test driven the car. A major major error in judgement. This dealership doesn't care about its customers as long as they get their money. They coud care less if they sell you a car that is in good working condition. They were paid cash and this is a total disgrace to treat someone like this. They don't stand by what they sell.
Do not lease a car from lexus of orlando in winter park and/or lexus financial!
We leased an is250 in 2012. Nice car. The salesman sold us what we thought was excess wear & tear insurance for the end of the lease. It wasn’t.
We got a bill for excess wear and tear (3 scratches) at the end of the lease. I called and was told it was a mistake. 4 months later, no second bill, no other notices, i started getting calls from a collection agent.
I called the dealer; he said it would be taken care of.
6 months later, i started getting calls from a second collection agent.
Now 13 months later, they denied my case and refuse to honor their promises. They say i owe them a bunch of money for something i paid a bunch of money to avoid.
The dealership lies, repeatedly. They are not to be trusted. Lexus financial is predatory to the extreme. In my opinion you should stay away from lexus, especially lexus of orlando in winter park.
