Leonard Loerna from Leonard and Sons Construction based out of Thousand Palms but servicing the entire Palm Springs/Palm Desert area. My experiences with him and his company are multiple. But here is my first experience with him, just bought a new two story condo in palm springs. He is recommended by a friend. He comes out to quote me on the staircase, I had removed the carpet surrounding them, leaving solely the bare wood. He quotes me a price to do the staircase and decorate it with stone. I was curious as he quoted me the first time how he was going to manage to finish the underside of the staircase but figured he's the expert. I live in L.A. I return to palm springs about a week after he is done, walk in to the condo and immediately notice the entry way is decorated with the stone work that was supposed to be for the staircase. And the staircase is completely undone.
I get very upset but am left in an occurd position, he was referred by not only a very good friend but a business partner. So I say nothing to Leonard or my Business Partner. I got priced exactly what I was supposed to be priced for doing the stairs, not sure if that was fair because I'm sure a flat entry way is much smaller, flatter and easier. It's time to do my floors, I decide to do stamp concrete. I reach out to him again based on the fact he did actually do a good job on the entry way and I saw pics of the stamp concrete finishes he has done previously. It looks very good. But less than a 7 months go by and it starts chipping up, a long crack starts running about 12 feet across the living room in to the dining room area. I have my business partner call him because I can't deal with him at the moment. I was too angry to talk. Business partner calls multiple times, text multiple times and he responds only once than disappears and have not heard from him since. I am now going to be forced to hire someone else to fix something he could and should have fixed. Typical crook gets the money for s**t service and runs and hides.
Business partner speaks to parents about the situation going on with Leonard Loerna of Leonard and Sons Construction and and my condo and finds out that when Leonard Loerna did their walk way nearly a decade before. And he charged them nearly $700 more than the original quote. And they had never told my business partner for fear of rocking the boat.
Shady, Shady, Shady... pool quality, no customer service, no morals, no ethics.
He and his father come across very friendly and nice initially and are not confrontational but will smile and say the right things to get the job. But then everything false apart. I frankly should sue them and am debating now, if I shall.
