Legal Team of United States Credit Service Reviews

  • Aug 28, 2015

Today I was left a threatening message from phone number (646)205-3834. Naturally I returned the call since I was threatened with severe legal action. The Call was from "The legal team of United States credit service". The representative claiming to be a lawyer named James Walker (Bar#498610), informed me I had a judgement against me in the amount of over $5,000. Flustered by the news, I immediately requested to know who the debt was to. He had no details for me, just a case number. And all legal ramifications were headed my way if I did not resolve this matter right away; according to James Walker. So I probed some more naturally only because the info seemed too hazy. Not once did he name the debtor. He gave some vague explanation as to who the debtor was; and insisted he was just trying to help me. But never specified who the debtor was. And wanted me to send him an email where I admitted my "fault" and stated that I wanted to take care of the case outside the code. (I'm not doing that without specifics) I had explained to him that "yes, I had a small debt. But I was already on payment arrangements and I'm almost done paying it off". He requested the persons name and number I had made these payments to. So I did, I gave him the info. And he informed me himself after being placed on a brief hold that I was defrauded out of money. And those payments are gone. He had info on me which was creepy. But he had an address of mine from years ago. And it sounds like he may have my social security number since he kept wanting me to confirm my last four numbers. RED FLAG #1: James Walker had the thickest Indian accent. With a name like James Walker; an accent so thick seemed highly out of place. RED FLAG#2: the line was of super poor quality. RED FLAG#3: background noise was too much. I could hear other individuals with thick accents conversing on phones. And I heard glass bottles or glasses being clanged in the ambience. RED FLAG#4: never stated debtor. Not once. RED FLAG#5: James Walker refused to give me the state of New York business license number. So that I may do a cross reference with the B.B.B. Of New York. Apparently; I will be served papers on Monday 8/31/2016 to appear before a judge. May the Lord be with me. I will have an update soon.
