Legacy Locksmith Reviews
I called Legacy Locksmith to unlock my garage door yesterday evening. It is a knob and easy to open, as I had to do it once before and it took all of 5 minutes. The service call was $15 ans $35 to open I was told by dispatcher. I said that was fine, as I was scammed previously when the last person came to open it. When the man arrived he said it would be $150 and wanted to know if I had cash. I told him I would not pay that when I knew it would take him a few minutes to do the job so he could leave as that was unacceptable.
He said his hands were tied and I suggested we call his office. The woman said she told me prices could be higher and played the phone conversation back which was $15 and $35. Static was bad after that and she said it said depending on work to be done. I told her that was ridicuous and most honest locksmiths charged $50 to $75 plus service call. I told her I would pay $65 including the service call and that was all. She placed me on hold and talked to the locksmith's boss, and he okayed the $65. Again, the locksmith wanted cash which I find very strange. He was probably going to pocket some of it.
I let him know I didn't make $150 in a day and knew he waas scamming me like the last. He got in the garage in 1 minute and I called the dispatcher to let her know how long it took and that they made $65 in one minute of work. This has happened to me before and locksmiths need to be regulated as some people are naive and would pay the amount they say.
