I purchased Franklin Half Dollar Coins from Lee's on January 3, 2017. Check cleared Jan. 9, 2017. Coins never shipped. Stated refund would be paid. No refund received. This business should be shut down and the operators prosecuted. Complaint filed with NY Attorney General.
I purchased some collectible coins advertised as different dates and mints. Was offered $200 discount to pay by electronic check direct from my account. I took advantage of the offer and they "forgot" to deduct the $200 when they debited my account. Total amount was $3975.00. They offered to send a check for $200 along with the merchandise which they did.
After checking out the coins I realized that, although different dates and mints, all 5 rolls were identical. Only 7 different coins out of 100. Since they advertise 100% money back guarantee if not satisfied for any reason, I returned the coins at a cost to me of $35 ship & insurance.
After many, many excuses I have received some of my money back through 3 wire transfers to my account in June, Sep, and Oct at a cost to me of $25 each transaction. I asked they send me a cashier's check via priority mail but they refused.
I notified the attorney general, but they can't do anything for me but send letters. Guess I'm just not going to get my money back from these Crooks until I get an attorney and sue them for it. I hope nobody else buys from them and gets stung like I did.
I'm not giving up, yet. These kinds of people have no conscience. Cheating people is their way of life, and they say they are good Christians. This was the first time I paid for anything like this and it will definitely be the last. I lost a lot more than $200 they offered to save me. I learned my lesson the hard way. Don't trust anyone and pay with a credit card. At least I would have gotten my money back and they would have to deal with the credit card company which has a lot more clout.
