On 24 December 2015 I purchased at item from Latache Boutique in Manassas Virginia. The cashier asked if I wanted an extended warranty and I said no, which is usually do on items. He said if defective the item would have to go through the company and not this location. I said ok. I said ok not knowing the reality of what he said. On 25 December 2015 I gave the item to my girlfriend, and then tried to charge the item. The item's light came on but turned back off after a minute. I attempted charging in several different locations and still did not work. I then on 26 December 2015 took the item back to the boutique, and she then said without the warranty i can not exchange or return the item. She said it must go through the manufacture. I was shocked. So, today 27 December I filled out the on line application for the defective item. Further instructions was I now had to use more of my own money, package the item, and ONLY go to US Post office. Once they received the item then they would inspect and either send me a gift card or if it is working send it back to me.
I have never purchased ANYTHING in such a manner, and forcing me to purchas a warranty for defective items. Something is wrong in there practice, and ways to handle a defect when it was not working when purchased. Why should I have to go through what I am now doing when it did not work at the original purchase.
