during the very first hearing , raquel arrived 40 minutes late, stating that she could not find parking.
she reeked of strong alcohol.
she neglected to bring the proper documents and thus we had to ask for an extension.
it was completely embarrassing to say the least
i gave her the benefit of the doubt thinking perhaps it was a 1 time personal issue.
how wrong i was
the second incident was her billing
she billed me more than THREE TIMES the expected rate, anything from emails to phone conversations at a rate of 3 times what was anticipated (no wonder she kept asking me question after question during overly long phone conversations that were completely un necessary in attempt to over bill me and extort me for more money)
there were clear discrepancies in the paper work for the billing. upon bringing this to her attention
she exploded
knowing that my child's future was in her hands, i had no choice but to pay whatever she asked of me.
As a caring mother, no doubt anyone would do the same as I did, and raquel took FULL advantage of my desperation.
finally with what should have been an easy custody case. i lost custody of my special needs daughter , was billed triple the rate promised. upon talking to my lawyer friend who practices environmental law, he commented that i had been grossly over charged and neglected. in what was a clear and easy win.
i am beside myself with grief . unable to afford to further fight for custody, heart broken at the loss of all the time i should be spending with my daughter, instead of being the aftermath of a women who clearly has a drinking issue and moral and ethical issues.
she should be disbarred for such behavior.
i plan to file a formal complaint with the state bar association.
DO NOT SEEK THE SERVICES OF RAQUEL SILVA UNLESS you want to loose $, your child, and valuable time.

I was deeply offended and hurt by these derogatory and slanderous statements
