Unfortunately, I was not previously aware of the LaurenLuxe company or the previous complaints against their practices prior to my interaction with them. As a result, I am experiencing very similar problems.
On 9/14/2015, I was on the Internet and out of nowhere, I received a request to complete a survey. It stated if I completed the survey, I would get a "Free" gift. I completed the survey and chose a cross necklace ater paying the requested $5.99 for the shipping and handling.
I received the necklace and immediately noticed that it was cheap looking but, you get what you pay for! After wearing the necklace for a few weeks, the necklace turned green and left me with a terrible rash.
I just stopped wearing the necklace and then on 10/14/2014, while reviewing my charge account, I was shocked to see a $98.00 charge from LaurenLuxe. I called them and spoke with a lady who told me something a terms and conditions when I accepted the "Free" neckace.
I'm a disabled, senior citizen on a fixed income, there is no way that I would agree to pay $98.00 for that necklace....it was suppose to be Free and I told her, I wanted a refund. She told me I would be contactacted by email regarding the issue. I only received a email on 10/14/2015 listing the terms and conditions and stating they had cancelled my account/subscription.
I wasn't awear that I even had an account.subsciption with them! There was no mention of my request for a refund. I sent them an email on 10/17/2015 again explaining my situation and requesting a refund and received no response. I called the office again and was told to return the necklace with a specific RA number and the would handled my refund request.
I wasn't able to get someone to get to UPS for me for a few days but, they received the necklace on 10/30/2015. Since that time, I haven';t been able to contact anyone at the office.....the phne is answered by a recoreded message that places you on hold but, noone ever answers the phone! I called numerous times with my phone and also had a friend call...same thing!
I'm not sure what to do at this point but, I would like the $98.00 refuned to my account. I hope you can assist me.
The item I chose was a necklace that only required a shipping fee of $5.99. I thought well, that's not free but isn't it pretty? I ordered the necklace, but then noticed I was been charged twice $49.00 i made a check and found out that the company was charging me $98.00 which i had not authorized. checks were made on the internet for a phone number to call. Of course when trying to call the comapny, they are not open and I have to wait til Monday. So I call today and they tell me that if I had read their terms and conditions I would have known I would be charged this money after the two week trial. What two week trial? What terms and conditions? There was no mention of a two week trial in the offer. I
Not long ago, I filled out a survey. Was offered a gift for free plus shipping and handling (which was 5.99). Now I have a deduction in my checking account for $98.
Before I had made the choice of gift I checked out the information listed for the gift, There was nothing in the web page that denoted any further cost or anything else on my part.
