A groomer out of Brookshire / Katy area hurt my dachsund's private area. I have long haired dogs and they get trimmed up during bathings. She cut his private area badly, I took him to the doctor immediately after & $456 later to stitch him + meds. Lauren Green of Lauren's Grooming Katy was the groomer. She refused to admit she hurt the dog, said he was like that when I brought him in, demanded I pay the bill and screamed she'd slander my familys company all over the internet if I didn't pay up. I still walked away. She proceeded to attack my sister, my boyfriend and his family for weeks because of it. The chick is scary as hell, has a trigger temper worse than satan. What kind of person goes to attack family members or my boyfriends mother and his cousins because she hurt a dog and I refused to pay the grooming bill?!
Beware. Nothing worse than a dog groomer who hurts an animal. Lauren Green is a horrible human being and needs to be exposed.
My dog, whos a super friendly boxer mix, came back incredibly frightened, whimpering and curled up. He stayed like that for 2 days.
We don't know what happened to our dog. Photo included. My wife had to stay home from work, our dog wouldn't stop whimpering after Lauren Green gave him a bath/ nail trim.
Our dog has always been a super friendly dog who would greet anyone and be your best friend immediately. He's never had any issues of being scared, not even the fireworks bother him. We've never seen him whimper or cry. We don't know what Lauren did to cause such fear and terror in our baby. He's never been the same.
After digging around and asking local people in Katy area that have lived there for years, it seems this Lauren Green has owned a few grooming shops. Then closed them when she's had bad ratings to the point no customers would go to her shop. Reopen under a new name, get her assistant to meet the customers coming in so no one would know Lauren is the groomer. Rinse, repeat. What a charlatan.
I venture to say what I'm not "saying" ... I believe my boxer was abused by her. There's no other explanation for a dog to come back from a short bath session and be terrified for more than 2 days.
I am a local Realtor in a relatively small city. I've been working for 2 years in the area, still working hard building new clientele. After 4 years of not owning a pup, my husband and I adopted 2 aussie shep rough collie x.
We asked Lauren for baths and tidies with nail trims. She said to drop them off at 8am. I was surprised to meet her at her front door, she wouldn't let me in the grooming area, stating between her and her assistant there is no room for customers but they would be well cared for. She was a happy young lady and seemed to have a nice disposition. I realized after I left I didn't get an approximate pick up time. When I got to the office, I called back to ask her and she said all pick ups were between 4 - 5 so she'll call back then. I don't agree with animals being stuck in cages all day and should have gone to pick them up but I was booked with 2 clients for the day so I wasn't able to then.
When I went to pick up my dogs, they were trimmed down to nothing. Their butts were showing terribly, their front fluffy chests were gone, under bellies were shaved to the skin. Even their ears were shaved down. It was like they were skinned. The tips of Max's ears were slightly bleeding. Lauren said because he kept shaking his head hard so it can cause blood to pool.
When I got home, Sally's underbelly was so raw spots on her were bleeding lightly. We decided to take them to the vet in the AM. By then both dogs developed a skin infection. The vet said was caused by the grooming, most likely was groomed too long and with the wrong tools making their skin raw. It's caused by over-combing the areas repeatedly.
Apparently the intelligent groomers who keep up their training through trade shows and new classes are taught now to blow out dogs with high-powered dryers and special soft brushes and not do comb-outs because of this old fashioned way of de-shedding dogs. Besides, I never ordered any de-shedding on my dogs but that's what Lauren had done to them.
Long story short- Lauren threatened to destroy me if I gave her a bad review.
She even admitted she happily destroyed another local realtor and proudly boasted how she grew up in the area and everyone knew her and they would back her, not myself. I told her there was no way I was going to pay for her destroying my dogs beautiful coats. I ordered a bath and tidies. What she did was destroyed them both, she hurt them and caused a bad infection that caused me a big bill at the vet because of her skinning my dogs raw.
She even had the nerve to ask for $50 more than the rate we agreed upon. I could hear other dogs barking away in her garage, I tried to glance in, I saw a bunch of slimy tools on the floor with other things stacked up.
I wasn't about to lose business over my 2 dogs because of her psycho threats so i walked away from this crazy bi*ch.
After going home, I went through her photos online,
I noticed there is no way out for the dogs in the event of a fire.
There's no window in her room, no exit door straight outside either. Nothing is safe for the dogs.
Something WITHIN her garage was to catch on fire, the dogs would all die. They have no safe escape from that death trap.
Do not ever use "Lauren's Grooming Katy'. She is a terrible groomer regardless what her "friends or family" say about her online. Even if it is just to save your dog from a place that is not safe. A fire inspector would never approve her place for a business for animals and workers.
Completely false accusations made by a former employer of mine. There have been police reports made proving this.
I challenge this poster to show ANY PROOF that this is a true story. Vet bills, receipts from my business, communication proof! Anything that even shows that you have used my services.
