Emily Schooley of Toronto Ontario swindled 24 supporters of a youcaring campaign out of $857, https://www.youcaring.com/emily-797377. She was asking for $5000 to help cover fake medical expenses.
Emily Schooley is a resident of Ontario, Canada where medical expenses are publically funded and are 100% covered by the government it is called the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). In other words, treatment is ABSOLUTELY FREE.
When Youcaring questioned Emily Schooley and asked her to produce medical records/bills to back up her claims – she never did. YOUCARING disabled the web page (not Emily) and removed it from the search engines to stop the collection of funds. She has never returned any of the money she scammed and fraudulently collected from the 24 supporters.
So, her campaign was completely and utterly fraudulent – it was all a SCAM! She NEVER had to pay any medical bills.
Emily Schooley lied about having a medical condition and collected hundreds of dollars in donations and spent the money on paying her criminal lawyer to defend her as it was the second time she was being charged with public mischief. She was arrested after she stalked someone to their workplace and then showed up and harassed them. The video footage identifying her harassing the victim. It was collected by the police, submitted as evidence and used in court. Emily agreed to an order (peace bond/restraining) which stated that she would stay away from her victim for one year. If she did then the charge would be withdrawn. If she did not it would be reinstated.
Needless, to say pretending to have a medical condition and claim that she has bills when she does not have any medical bills to pay is highly manipulative and abusive of Emily Schooley – it clearly shows the degree of contempt she very obviously has for the general public not to mention the legal system.
