I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND RENTING FROM THE LAS GARDENIAS APARTMENTS MANAGED BY INTEGRITY ASSET MANAGEMENT!!!
I moved in on a 9 mos. lease in January of this year with my 3 daughters and disabled son. I lost my job back in April due to my son needing full time medical attention and have been struggling ever since. Thankfully there are a few resources available in El Paso to assist with these types of issues. However, one month after receiving some assistance with my the previous rent I went to management and advised that I was unable to pay the late fees on my account but found a 3rd party that would assist me with the rent and the late fees to bring my account current.
The Manager told the assisting 3rd party company that I would need to pay a full months rent without any assistance before she would agree to any additional 3rd party assistance.
About a week later after the assistance had been denied due to apartment management not cooperating I was then advised by management that they would sign documentation for assistance. Since my previous application for assistance had been denied I was forced to get assistance through project Vida.. However, they would not help with the late fees only the current months rent. I was happy for the assistance seeing as me and my children have no where else to go.
Since then I was able to pay my monthly rent but not the late fees. I did not know at the time that the monthly rent I had been paying was not going to the rent, it was in fact going to the late fees. I realized this when I was served with documents to appear in court for eviction! I am due to be back in court for an appeal which I am sure will not be in my favor.
The larger COMPLAINT and more non-viable one is that since I was served with eviction documents the apartments A/C has not worked. It only makes a loud clinking noise and drips in air, basically just wasting money on expensive electric bills. I have submitted about 10 work orders to have the a/c fixed and every single time the work order is processed as completed and still no difference! Me and my children sit and literally sweat in our apartment.
This is the most frustrating experience I have ever had in an apartment!!
During the beginning of the summer when the A/C's were turned on it worked like a dream for a couple of weeks then the pump went out, maintenance fixed it... then the band came off... maintenance fixed it, then it just stopped blowing air and is noisy. After discussing this issue with other tenants I found that this is a common problem for Las Gardenias Apartments.
So unless you have a good A/C in your car and don't mind hanging out there then I would NOT rent from the Las Gardenias apartments.
NOW... Despite current legalities I would "assume" that Integrity Asset Management would still maintain responsibility on their end but perhaps this is another lesson I will learn compliments of the Las Gardenias Apartments!!!
IMORTANT: Please do confuse my review with being a bitter tenant, I understand that Integrity Asset Management has a business to run just as I have a family to take care of despite unfortunate events I understand my legal obligations and would expect the same from any company!
