Larry Jacob Internet Marketing Reviews

  • Aug 25, 2021

I paid over $5,000 as a down payment for some work on my membership website on June 25th. I was given a list of phases when certain things will be done. We never got to Phase 1, which was only supposed to take 2 to 3 weeks. I contacted Mr. Jacobs on July 27th, over 30 days later, to request an update. Now our contract was in Week 5 with only one week left to launch my Membership website.

Nothing was done. He claimed he just moved a week before and that he would get with his team. I received an update on July 29th that they would do some things, and we can meet on Zoom sometime in the first week of August. After this, I was distraught after logging into my development account, where they requested access over two weeks prior, and there was nothing but a cloned website.

On July 30th, I asked for a refund because there was nothing done. I spent over $5k not to see Phase 1 almost six weeks later. After I sent an email to end this agreement, he logged into my website, added some hideous styling that I never asked for, and added some incomplete functions that didn't work with the website. Then had the nerves to make videos describing what he did, which was nothing but make my existing theme look hideous. I found his details on the Memberium Partner website here: https://memberium.com/implementation-partners. Memberium is a respectable software firm. How did they allow someone as unprofessional as this onto their website is beyond me?

The second time I requested a refund, I still didn't receive anything but a follow-up question about reverting the site to where it was. Nothing was lost but an uncompleted Affiliate page and a couple of test contacts.

Shortly after, I hired another developer to work on the site. I requested another refund for the third time on August 16th, close to two months after I started dealing with this. He replies with another excuse about being out the prior week and that I would get a refund. His exact words,

"In the attached project update dated July 29th, five weeks from the start of the project, we provided you with a detailed update including four videos explaining the work we had completed for you. We had completed about 70% of the project by then. The update stated we would be done by the end of the following week or week 6.

In our agreement later, I had given you a project schedule of 4 to 6 weeks. On July 30th, five weeks from project start, you cut off all access to your hosting environment, WordPress website, and Keap / Infusionsoft account.

If you no longer want us to work with you on the project, I understand. We will settle for the 50% payment. There is no refund due."

Basically, he stated he would have done the six-week project in one week. I had over 17 items on the list to complete. Not one thing was completed thoroughly. He half worked on only four of the items. Do you think his communication, the non-working items he claimed he worked, was worth over $5,000? This feels unbelievable that a so-called professional would feel comfortable enough to take someone's money like this.
