I could copy and paste any of the reports given about larry hoffman because they fit my story almost perfectly.
I purchased $9800 worth of product after seeing one of larry's numerous websites. He had the best price and low shipping costs. He called several times to make the sale. I paid in full via bank wire and was told they would ship in three days. The order was not delivered by the delivery date. Larry did not dodge my calls or emails, he just procedes to tell me they will be delivered the next day. It is always the next day. Then the next day comes and something happened with the shipping company, but they will be delivered soon. He emails me a ups bol form with nothing of any importance. It is not a real tracking number and it doesn't have a signature. It is nothing of any real substance to when my items would be delivered. I emailed to see what to do with it. He said stephanie Who i've never spoken to and she doesn't have a phone number) will send me the tracking number tomorrow. After several days of him telling me my items were on the way, i decided to google larry hoffman.
If only i had seen yscam. When i was doing my search it was warehouse event furniture, folding event chairs, wholesales event furniture. He probably has all the google ad words bought up to direct you to his many sites. He can purchase really good advertising sites, because he isn't paying anyone but himself. Instead of making a few hundred dollars, he makes thousands for not sending your product. He has been in business and doing this scam since at least 2004 from what i can find. Probably longer than that. It seems some people do get half ordrs and half refunds. I called many of his references he gave me after my order was purchased. They seemed like venues that of course purchased chairs, but they don't remember his many company names. I really think many of them were fake. One of the references sounded like him when the line answered. He sent one to me from a dana that was happy to receive her chairs only a few days ago. He probably forgot that dana was also someone that was going to email me when my shipment would be ready. I will be sure to include that email and storefront address in my lawsuit. She most likely is part of his scam. I asked for a refund after dodged phone calls and excuses mixed with empty promises to make things right.
Current status as of 7/19/18: i am waiting for a promised refund in the form of a bank wire. He did refund $5000 of my money. $4800 is withstanding. He promises it will be in my account tomorrow. He also said it was sent last friday and i should have seen it on monday. Lots of empty promises!
I believe larry is running a ponzi scheme as well. I have filed a claim with my local pd as well as the federal internet wire fraud department. My claim is for interent wire fraud. It is a federal offense and he needs to be stopped.
