I purchased a laptop charger from Laptop Charger Factory after providing very detailed information of the laptop brand, model, SN, and the full specs from my Dell laptop charger. I was given a delivery date and promised I would get a tracking number. I waited until 2 days after the promised delivery date to contact Laptop Charger Factory to research the delivery status, as it was not delivered nor was a tracking number given. I again provided the full details of the original order and then waited...2 days later the order was then generated (now 9 days after I had originally made the order) and given a new delivery date promise.
The ordered item did not arrive then, either. I contacted customer service again by chat, as I waited over 90 minutes on hold on their phone line. I was informed that the product was enroute and that I should be patient, due to covid-19 problems. The item arrived 19 days after the first promised date, 9 days after the second promised date. The item was wrong! It had the wrong pin size (despite me providing the full specifications of the charger and laptop) and had a 4 ft. 11 inch cord (I paid for an upgrade to a 6 ft. cord).
I immediately contacted the company chat again, and they offered to correct the problem. I got an e-mail the next day with this "great offer" - I could keep the (wrong) charger and they would credit me $15 for my trouble. I declined and again requested a return process. I was told I would receive a return shipping label and that all would be credited back to my credit card without problem. I have waited 8 days and still no return shipping label. I contacted the company again, and was told "the return label was in another e-mail." There is no other e-mail. This company is not to be trusted, with very poor customer service. AVOID THEM!
An absolutely horrible experience attempting to get a replacement AC adapter for a laptop computer. For this company to claim that it is their speciality, as implied by the company name at least, is laughable. Here's how the whole thing went:
Two months ago I ordered a charger from them online, all seemed well. The item was delivered quickly but I immediately discovered that the barrel connector to plug into the computer was the wrong size. I contacted them and told them of the problem, they quickly said a replacement would be coming and to await return instructions for the first one. Okay, so far maybe not so good but still hopeful. The second charger came and the barrel connector was also the wrong size. Now, with confidence waning,
I inquired about return information for both items and was told to include some reference numbers on the packaging but to send each back to their respective origins. Now, I've paid for a charger I can't use, along with shipping and insurance costs that they charged on the initial order, and I have to now pay to ship the unusable items back to LCF in California and to a third party company in New Jersey. Confidence has evaporated at this point but am still hopeful that I would be refunded for my purchase.
Oh, but wait! That's right there is a restocking fee of 20%. Did you know that $15.80 is 80% of $20.20 purchase price? Well, LCF aparently doesn't know how to do basic math. Confidence completely gone at this point!!
Hang on there, according to their website: (See product returns page)
"We allow customers to return their products within a 30 day period from the date of purchase. If you wish to exchange the product out, you may do so at no cost. If you wish to return it, there will be a 20% restocking fee. Your initial shipping costs will be refunded back in full and we will also pay for your return."
So where is the refund of my initial shipping costs, and how did they pay for my returns?? Answer, they didn't.
In summary:
Laptop Charger Factory is an extremely poor company, does not provide proper goods as indicated, then makes you pay them for their failures. Furthermore, they do not pay for return shipping nor do they refund initial shipping costs as they claim to. So if you want to receive products that you can't use, pay for them to be shipped to you, pay to ship them back, and also pay them a portion of the purchase price so it can be easier for them to do the same thing to someone else, go ahead and place your order. Otherwise, run as far away from this company as possible.
I ordered a new charger for my laptop in June, i ordered it to be shipped next day air, here we are in August and i still do not have my charger or a refund. I am still fighting with this company every day trying to get my charger. I still don't have it and they still refuse to cooperate with me.
