Lano Equipment Inc. Reviews

  • Aug 20, 2015

On July 16, 2015 my wife brought a Hinomoto tractor, that was listed as: "AWD, Runs & Operates Well". About 3 weeks after buying the tractor, I figured out how to engage the AWD all that happened was the front tires locked up. I contacted a Hinomoto dealer in AZ and was told to disengage the AWD: "Tear it apart ASAP to avoid further damage". I did, and that is when I discovered the entire front wheel drive (AWD) was broken. On the right front tire, the entire drive casting was broken off, the mail drive gear was missing and the drive axle was just flopping inside of the drive casting, loose. I called Mike at Loretto Equipment and all he said was "Sorry" and they never checked the AWD. Even though I only took me 5 minutes to find the problem. Loretto Equipment is a Independent Affiliate of K-Bid, in Maple Plain MN. I contacted K-Bid's office, wrote them a letter telling them what happened, photos of the damage, what Mike told me and misleading ad that Loretto Equipment placed on K-Bid.

On Monday Aug 17, 2015, Mike from Loretto Equipment called, and was he mad, he was screaming into the phone, telling me this is all my fault and that they (Loretto Equipment) did nothing wrong and after yelling at me for a couple of minutes he threaten me. (He said that if I wanted to "Playing Dirty", then go ahead, we have ways of dealing with people like you!) I asked what he meant by that and Mike replied: " Calling your Credit Card Company and filing a compliant and stopping payments or contacting other people, that is "Playing Dirty"! I hung up on Mike, and there has been no Conversation, since. I know that tractor was sold at a auction and that there is a disclaimer that says: (As Is), however, Loretto Equipment listed an ad stating: (AWD Tractor, Runs & Operates Well), which it does not. The casting on the front drive axle has been broken for a long time.

Since my wife paid with her C/C, we have filed a complaint with them. And have ask Loretto Equipment for a refund, however, Loretto Equipment wishes not to refund the money, instead Mike, told me that they would "resell" the tractor on their K-Bid site for "Free", however, they would have to disclosed that the AWD was not working.
