I provided onsite operations consulting for a gas weill for Lanita Oil LLC where I drilled and completed the well. I submitted my invoices for payment and Mr. Bahme tells me that he would not pay my invoice amount but that he would only pay the amount showed on his cost estimate for the well. A cost estimate that I will add that I did not prepare or saw prior to the well.
His refusal to pay was after the fact as I provided him daily and cumulative costs for all the services on the well, including my costs, and nothing was said that all costs were only being paid on his cost estimate. Other vendors on the well were paid their invoice amount but I was not. He did pay a partial amount and that amount wasn't close to the amount listed in his estimates. Total owed to me at this time is in excess of $20,000 and was for work done in July of 2017. I have filed a lien on the well and property and will await the outcome.
It should be noted that on another well, a new consulting engineer was paid his invoice amount without any questions asked. However another service company has run into the same situation as I did as he now claims that that company's costs were in excess of his estimate and he won't pay. Needless to say, they too have filed a lien on the property. Apparently there are other vendors in the same situation as others are coming forward with the same complaints that Lanita does not pay their bills!
Lanita and Bahme are selective in their payment schemes and chose who to pay and not to pay based on the company size and financial backing. The smaller companies are prey to his "Oh I forgot to tell you, I only pay on what I estimated" routine.
