Inquired about a loan with the company & was approved. Money was forwarded & no loan. Was forwarded to the financce dept. they were requiring more money at which time I indicated no more & to terminate loan. Return of monies was requested. That was the last time I have had any conversations with them. They must have my number on file as there is no answer to from anyone
On October 3 I was applying on line for loans to consolidate some bills. I received a call from Daniel Jacobs at Langridge Financial saying I had been preapproved for an $8000 peer to peer loan. He stated that because my credit was low that I needed collateral which was understandable. He emailed me the loan documents which looked completely legit and after I sent back the signed pages I sent the collateral payment of $575. That evening I called to see when the funds would be released and I was speaking to the loan officer Thomas Collins who supposedly then had my records. He stated that the individual who was funding the loan did a second review of my account and wanted an insurance payment of $700. Starting to get skeptical, but ok.. that’s fair for the amount of money I’ll be receiving. I asked Mr. Collins to send me something in writing guaranteeing that once the insurance payment was received the funds would be released without any further payment needed from me.
He gladly sent the email, So again I went and made a payment. I called later in the evening to verify the release of the funds only to be quickly transferred to a female who was supposedly the big boss who claimed that the entire insurance payment of $1500 was needed to release the funds and the Mr Collins had no right to offer me a reduced amount. I informed her I had a written guarantee of the funds being released and her response was that Mr Collins would be getting a talking to for giving me wrong information. She further said I can either pay the remainder or get a refund by certified check in 14-30 days. I said I wanted a refund and called her a fraudster. She quickly hung up on me. Doubt I’ll be getting a refund. I have filed reports with western union, FTC, and attorney general. These people need to be convicted and retribution should be paid to those of us who were stolen from!
I was contacted via email from a Daniel Jacobs from Langridge Financial. It stated in the email, which was impressingly legitamate looking with a Logo and everything, that I was preapproved for $8000 and needed to speak with him on the phone at the number provided.
I called him and he said that I was already preapproved and all I needed to do to get the money released the same day was pay a $575 down payment that would count against my future payments becuase of my credit score, in addition to signing a contract. It required that I either Zelle the money (wire transfer) or Western Union. I thought it was odd at first, but thought maybe because of how quickly the loan could be released to me it sounded viable.
I Zelled the funds and the loan was never released. I called back the next day and they said my loan went into secondary review and that the lender required I pay $750 for insurance because of my credit score again. Out of desperation and ignoring the red flag, I had done so. Mind you the man who called me back wasn't Daniel and some guy named Ian who was his boss. Loan wasn't released that day of course so I called back and my new agent, Thomas (positivie same guy as Ian), said Ian misquoted me and it should have been $1500 for the insurance, not $750. Rent was coming due and I prayed this was the last of it. After $2k given and 4 days without any funds released, I called back (they never reached out first) and they said I had to pay taxes on the loan because of no reason they could rationally explain. They didn't have a tax rate or anything they could supply. When I sent the $750, I already had the feeling I was being scammed but desperate times make you do some unthinkable things.
They had a NYC address, and I happen to live in Manhattan so I visited thier "offices". The building was a 7-unit residential building with no commerce operating out of it. I called their number and told them to come down stairs. Of course no one came out.
I'm still working with local detecitives on the case, but did some investigating myself and learned that the email address I sent money to was to an individual named Aijalon Douglas - who has previously criminal activity involving fraud with a Progressive Automotive case. I also received an email from the Property Management company of the address they claim to operate out of that no business under the name "Langridge Financial" works there.
I'd ideally like to get the money back - some of which I had to borrow from family members. Ultimately, I want these people shut down and convicted for their inhumane operation of theft and defraudment. PLEASE beware.
On September 27th, 2018 i received a email stating i was fully approved for a loan with Langridge financial and to contact them to verify the terms and conditions to of my loan so i contacted this gentleman to discuss the term of the loan of $5000.00 .Once contact was made he told me i would need to have collateral of a home or car which i do not have so he said there was a plan b to make a loan fee of $645.00 and the loan would be released between 2-4 hours.I complied in doing so because i really needed this loan.So i was instructed to send the $645.00 via western union because there was a issue with CIBC banking which he said they dealt with.I told him how do you do that because i never sent money through like that before. He said just go to a western union and call him back and he would instruct me on how to do it.
So i called him and he gave me the information on who to send to which i was concerned because it was a womans name and not the company(i was told it was going directly to the lender and the funds would be released once she received it).So the money was sent i called back with the information and he said money would be sent. After waiting all night no funds were deposited .I called back in the morning spoke to him and he transferred me to his said manager. After speaking with her she said there was a second review on the loan and the lender wanted a fee of $1000.00 before releasing the funds. At this point i didnt know what to do and told her i didnt have these kind of funds as to why i needed a loan in the first place. She did say then i could just get a refund at that point or if i can come up with funds they would process the loan.I did come up with the funds in hoping to get this loan and called her back.I was then instructed to send funds the exact same way and to call her back .
I sent funds and called her back with info she said i would have my loan that evening.Again after waiting all night no money came in. I called again next morning in contact with her who then transferred me to the so called president of this company who then said i had to pay for some insurance on the loan and i asked how much it was like another $1000.00. I was so mad and told him its not going to happen i dont have it and at this point i knew i was not getting this loan .I told him i want all my money back.I was told i could get a refund but would take 15-30 days.I was not happy with that i wanted it back the same way i sent it.He then hung up on me.
Since then i have called my local police, and western union to report fraud.I have since found out the money i transferred was picked up in Oshawa Ontario in which just doesnt make sense if company was in Alberta Canada and New York USA.I have been Scammed and frauded out of $1755.00 Im not sure who these people are so I am asking for help to investigate and stop it from happening for others also would be nice to get my funds returned
I applied on line for a loan. I was notified from Langridge Financial that I was approved for a loan of $10000. I was informed by Gloria Fuller that this loan would cost around $735. I asked her what could I get for $850. She told me $15000. I agreed to send $850 because I needed this loan. Ms. Fuller told me I would get the loan transferred to my account between 2-4 hours. It never came. When I called her back she informed me that I would have to pay $750 because of my credit score. I sent $750. No loan. Then I was informed that the lender wanted more money for insurance. I sent $750. No loan. When I called Langridge Financial I was informed that I had a new advisor. I kept asking why I wasn't getting this loan. The manager promised me I wouldn't have to pay any other fees. She even sent me a "guarantee letter" stating no more fees. I still never received the loan.
When I called again, I was transferred to "Gary" who claimed he was the manager. I needed to send $600 more because of insurance fees. I would also get gift cards for my troubles. Because I was desperate and needed this !oan, I sent the money. Gary told me I would receive the loan by 6:00 p.m. I called again and was transferred to the owner of the company. He informed me I had to send $1300 more. He would pay half out of his pocket. If I could come up with $500 I was assured I would receive the loan. Plus within 48-72 hours I would receive the money I had sent for taxes plus the gift cards! I asked the president if he could check with the lender to see if the lender could help me. The president informed me the lender was on vacation and couldn't be reached. They are supposed to send me a refund. I doubt I'll ever see it. Never use this company. They are crooked, liars and scammers. Do not trust them!
