I am a Builder of custom homes ranging on value from 250K to over 1,000,000. Troy did a project for me and there was definate differences compared to other cabinet makers but we moved forward with the project. The cabinets came out 90% as speced but not identical to what I paid for. After the install we could never get the doors to line up. I also had to have another Cabinet Maker modify the center island in order for it to hold the raised snack bar. Lakeside also made me a list kitchen and bath in Coon Rapids. He sent me the quote I accepted it and then I got the bill from Troy and he said that the quote didn't include one of the kitchen cabinets and he tried charging $400 more he also stated there was no discount for going from Cherry to Poplar. That ended our relationship and I refused to pay the difference. He tried to upsell his cheap method of building enameld cabinets. Instead of building a door with a wood frame he routers out the center of cheap particle board. Essentially the same as trailer houses and apartments. No reputible custom home builder would put that enameled product in its homes. Lakeside Cabinets and Woodworking competed well against customers on price but it showed in the end product. Lb ke the phrase if you put lipstick on a pig it looks good. I have all the info to back this up also
