If you ordered L'etoile or any other of their beauty products online Please return them as soon as they arrive. Their 14 day "Free Trial" starts the day you order the product. If you don't return it, you will be charged $73.00 or more for each of your trial bottles, and they will ship more automaticlly each month. I sent mine back they day it arrived, priority mail w/signature conformation, to avoid these charges. When I called the customer service number to cancel, I waited just short of a hour for someone to answer, when they fianally answered, they tried to get me to keep the products which I told them had already been mailed back. then they tried to impose a $9.95 "retension fee" for each of the two products ordered.
I told them that a retension fee was not stated in there fine print, and they had no right to charge me a fee, and the products I ordered were already shipped unopened/unused w/ tracking & signature. The service rep. then fianally conceded in cancelling the order without charging me an additional $9.95 per product returned. This company makes it extremely hard to reach and cancel. They will charge you if you don't return the product in the 14 days and you will be left begging your credit card company to help you. I hope this helps someone else to avoid getting fleeced thru this scam. This company sells many products under many names-Just don't fall for these "free trial" offers. At least all I am out is the shipping & return fee's which is cheap compared to the thousands being charged over $70. per bottle for their free trial.
I ordered a facial cream called l'etoile that was supposed to be free except for shipping charge of $4.94. It sounded too good to be true, but i looked closely at the terms to make sure i truly wouldn't be charged or have recrurrant charges. Two weeks later i received a charge for $98.09 by rjv hydraeyecareeyecare.
The phone number to call is 888-604-9168.
I never gave permission to charge my card for more than the $4.94. I will be calling them on monday to demand a refund and alert my credit card company of the fraud.
A Facebook ad stating a free trial for a skin cream from Johanna Gaines that you can get for only 3.95 shipping. After my online order my card was charged 1.98 and a second charge for 4.95. I promptly emailed Letoile and requested cancellation the same day. 2 days later I receive an email stating it was cancelled but if I wanted to keep the product I would be charged 9.99. I called customer service immediately to state my problem. The service agent on the line told me the 1.98 was the safe handling fee and the 4.95 was the shipping. When I explained the web site said only 3.95 shipping and there was no verbage for additional charges she went on to say "what's your problem you already cancelled" and " you cancelled so you won't be charged 98.00 for the product." When I mentioned not reading anything about 98.00 she talked over me telling me it's cancelled. I requested a refund and she told me it shipped which I never received a tracking number. She gave me a confirmation code.
I found the site I am reporting via "toptenproducts.com." This site promoted the Letoile product with a huge ad and statement that it was the best Shark Tank product to date and all investors invested in it. That is why my interest was piqued.
It was through that site that there was the italicized words "click here to read story," which then gets you to the Letoile skin care site. The site boasts Oprah, Ellen, etc., as using and loving their product. All of this, together with the very respected Shark Tank investor info, leads one to believe this is an excellent product.
The offer is to get a trial sample for just the cost of postage, which is a reasonable $1.98. Well, here is where things go totally awry and the deception, and what I consider further fradulent activity, commence.
After -- yes, after -- providing the credit card info for the $1.98, one receives a screen asking if you want the eye serum. There is no visible place to click "no," but you can click "continue." This takes one to yet another screen inquiring whether you would like the skin youth e-book, with the same options provided. Once the "continue" is clicked this time, a screen pops up saying your order is placed and the amount that appears is for all items! You are completely unaware, and to your knowledge have not authorized any purchase except for the eye cream!!!
One is never given an option NOT to order those items, nor does it give any indication that you are ordering the additiional items. The appearnce is that it is necessary to click through these to get to the "confirm order" location. The company obviously knows they are getting these "extra" orders through defrauding the purchaser and therefore give no indication that you just ordered extra products. Your first awarneess of this is when a screen pops up and says your order is placed for "x" dollars.
I was furious and immediately emailed the company, as well as attempted to call the company. I was on hold for over 10 minutes, gave up and sent them another email. I told them I wanted the entire order canceled. My assumption is their product is worhtless, since their business practices are deceptive, and I just wanted the order canceled in its entirety. If the business has to resort to fraud when one places their order, the product being sold certainly cannot be as it is claimed to be! I knew I wanted no further interaction with them.
I was informed they could NOT refund anything and I would have to dispute the amount with my bank/cc company; that that was the only avenue available for me. I tried to get the order canceled and charges reversed in a very short time frame. Certainly no longer than 5-15 min. They could have easily credited my account back, but refused. After seeing other complaints on this Ripoff site, I am afraid I am in for more problems from them in the future, by way of them placing more unauthorized charges on my account.
(Below you asked if I used a credit card, and I ck'd yes. That is correct and incorrect. I used my bank debit card, which does not afford the same protection, as I undestand it.)
I cannot remember ordering this product but have ordered similar product from other companies on the internet. I had to call bank to stop them from deducting money from my account. This may be another similar company that has my information and is doing the same thing. I have received product I did not order. I have had to cancel my debit card. WE need to stop these companies from continuing to do this to people. I have learned a very expensive lesson.
My original on line order was for a very low priced trial sample of the LeToile skin cream. I was also sent and charged for Illustra eye cream, which was not ordered!
I called the number listed and tried to cancel the Illustra, but was not able to do so. I paid for the LeToile and the Illustra.
I have just received an email that LeToile has shipped me a "subscription replenishment". I have not signed up for any subscription of the LeToile product. I called and was told that this shipment could not be cancelled. I protested, but got nowhere.
I'm concerned about how much money this company will steal from me. It is a huge scam.
I ordered the L'Etoile anti wrinkle cream sample. I paid for shipping only. Nowhere on the site did it say anything about sending each month and charging me 100.00 for each shipment. I have noticed now when I go the site it does now have a large sign saying if you order you will have recurring shipments. But back in November of 2016 there was no statement anywhere. I finally realized in feb of 2017 of what was going on. I will say my son had some health issues and that is why it took 2 months to realize they were charging me. When I finally called today, it took me 30 min on hold and 15 min of saying no and don't charge my card again to get through to this person I did not want this anymore. I will never ever try to get a so called free sample again.
I guess seing they do have the terms and conditions clearly printed on site now. Someone must have complained enough. But that still leaves me out 200.00 that they would not refund. Lesson learned. I guess I can alays try to get some of my money back at one of those auction sites.
Ordered the 14 day trial - paid shipping and handling - and that was all that was wanted. Product was not impressive and I didn't think about it anymore until this morning when I received an email stating my shipment was on the way and my bank account shows they withdrew $98.09. The issue I immediately notice on the email is they have the wrong billing address. I did not request this product, authorize this transaction or ask for any contact from these people ever again.
It was an ad on TV offering a free sample. When it arrived I was not home so called them when a bill of $184.61 hit my crdit card. (two different companies, Demure Skin, Or. and Lejoile Skin, LA. Called and received cinfirmination numbers (L2923931 and R2942988 for the return. Sent the unopened merchandise back Oct 28, They signed for it Oct. 31st and billed me anyway. I contacted Bank of America. They investigated and reported I did not return it or cancel on time.
L'etoile ultra premiem anti-aging formula is practicing fraud by using a beauty face creme developed by Angelina Jolie. The ad mentioned a free jar just for the shipping and handling. No where did it mention a 14 day trial. My credit card was charged $98.09 2 weeks later and a second $98.09 the very next month. I called and cancelled and returned all products and was told there would be a $9.95 restocking fee. How can they restock if I used it??
I ordered eye cream and face cream online. The products were trial size and only was supposed to cost $4.95 for shipping. I got the products and they lasted about two weeks. The products didn't improve my skin like the brochure stated.
When I got my credit card bill, they charged me $187.38. I was totally stunned.
I called the company four times but no one would answer the phone. Finally on the fifth try someone answered the phone.
I talked to a gentleman and explained that I felt like I was just scammed. He told me that I should have read the terms and conditions. I told him that there were no terms and conditiions. I told him that I wanted my money back. He said that he could give me back 35% of my money and cancel the subscription.
I told him okay but that I was going to get an attorney. I told him that this company was nothing but a scam, and that was why he was offering me 35% back.
Ladies, do not subscribe to this company. It is a scam! I've learn my lesson, not to buy off the internet anymore. These people are too sorry to work and they are scamming people.
Ordered mdse on internet..received in box without any information..i used mdse for one week and called to cancel. they charged me for the product anyway saying i was one day later in canceling...i had used it for one week only. callled co. and was told to bad u were late by one day...there was no explaination or any papers telling me this or even how.
On 12/26/2016, 11:56 AM [email protected] I spoke to your help desk today. They informed me I would not be receiving a refund for merchandise I NEVER received. I received the SAMPLE products on 11-30-16 and paid shipping of $4.99 and $4.94. Which broke my face out. I cancelled on 12-17-16, however I was billed $98.09 & $89.29 for full size merchandise....... again which I NEVER received. I was informed that they could not refund my money. I paid the shipping on the sample $4.99 Anti Aging and $4.94 Elouence. After asking to speak to a supervision I was put on hold and then hung up on. I am on a fixed income and would appreciate a refund for the product I NEVER RECEIVED, which means it was NEVER shipped and you actually incurred NO LOSS of money. How can a company charge someone for something they NEVER received? I only received samples.....regardless of your policy. How can anyone send back unopened samples, how would I know if it worked or not if I didn't open the samples.....
They are claiming a wrinkle cream that doesn't work but that is not the real problem. The real problem is that they sign you up for a monthly payment of $98 that you never agree to. DO NOT fall for this scam.
This company are fipping people off. The advertisement showed a Melania Trump skin care product for $4.95. The product that was sent was L'ETOILE Anti Wrinkle Complex cream. After 14 days they go into your bank account and draw out $98.09. No where on the advertisement does it state a charge of $98.09 will be billed. Then they state 100% money back garuntee but refuse to do it if the product has been opened. This is a scam!!!
I ordered the L'Etoile skin care and Illustra eye serum believing that I would only be charged $4.95 shipping and handling. Nothing on the website http://letoilecream.org/ showed anything about additional charges, timelines, etc., and the terms and conditions link only directed to another product. Upon receipt of the product, there was no additional information about terms and conditions. On 11/23/16, I discovered that my credit card had been charged $89.29 for L'etoile and $98.09 Illustra. When I called the toll free number provided with the product, I was informed by the rep that it was too late to rescind the charges but instead was offered 3 months more free trial of monthly shipments on both products with no shipping charges. At the end of which, unless I've cancelled subscription by deadline of 3/7/17, monthly charges of $24.52 for Illustra and $22.32 for L'etoile (total $46.84, i.e. 75% discount) will become effective. On 12/22/16, I called again as no further shipment of product had been received. This time I was told that the original rep had given me incorrect information and the only thing the company authorizes is one more supply of products for free. After this, I would be given a 75% discount for future orders until the membership was cancelled. A 'supervisor' then confirmed what this call's rep had offered, which was unacceptable. I was then provided a cancellation confirmation number. This is a total ripoff.
I ordered a free trial to (of course) try out. Was not pleased with the product. No worder the product gets low reviews, but I thought "its only a free trial with payment of shipping" so I went ahead. Now the free trial is a 30 day supply. However I was billed 2 weeks later for 98 dollars. First, the trial is a 30 day supply. Second, the website I ordered on said nothing of billing me after 2 weeks. Why would any compay send a 30 day supply for a trial and charge 2 weeks later??
Called and got an agent that was full of it. No refunds. There were two products I ordered a trial of. One is L'etoile which is 0.5 oz, and the other was Illustra eye serum which was also 0.5 oz. The first, L'etoile, is $98 and the second, Illustra, is $89. That is outragous for 0.5 oz of either product. This to me is a ripoff becuase of two reasons. You don't send a 30 day trial and bill 14 days later (that show it is a non-working product, because if it worked the would allow the 30 days before billing). The second reason, false advertising with Anjolina Jolie. Oh and of course I saw no signs of being billed full product charge after 14 days. The agent on the phone said "he was looking at the website as we were speaking", he must of been looking at a different site than I ordered from! I have ordered over a dozen free trials, and was never additonally billed for any of them.
DO NOT BUY THIS TRIAL!! The cream and serum do not work well as they say, and both products are too highly priced. They are making a ton of money fooling women. Whats even worse is that when I called my back about the charge there was no information regarding the compny's contact information. Which is werid because most billing departments have nothing to hide when billing for a service or product, but this one obviously did.
The agent also told me that "he recieved many calls thanking him for such a great product, and the company has a 98 percent customer satisfaction rating. I find that extremly hard to believe.
Pop up advertisement for "Angelina Jolie" new skincare line. Pay shipping only and you can try for free. When I was paying for shipping it offered a 2nd eyecream product for shipping only so I included that in my order.
I received the products and within a week or so I have a $90 charge on my bank account. Called & they said I signed up for a free trial and if I didn't cancel w/in 14 days I would be charged for the product sent. The only way I could get my money back was to return the product - unopened! How to you trial a product if it is unopened?
I asked for the website & on the webpage it offers the same deal and includes a disclosure regarding the trial period & paying in 14 days for the full product cost. The pop up by no means discloses this. I would not have ordered the product if it did. I was just curious and figured why not try it if it would only cost $5.99.
Major scam. Hoping they get busted somehow. I googled Angelina Jolie skincare line, notta. Bunch of crap.
I was so interested in Joanna Gaines new skin care line as she seemed so genuine and positive about her new product! I eagerly went on line to order a sample, plus a sample of eye cream....when they arrived it was not what I was expecting so I returned them. I was shocked when more product arrive . invoicing me for charges. deducting from my credit card. I called the company to discontinue product and charges and I have been unsuccessful in resolving this issue.
Purchased L'etoile cream thinking I'm paying $4.98 for the shipping and handling. Was sent the L'etoile cream and an eye cream called Illustra something I wasn't aware of which I paid $4.95 shipping for that. I wasn't aware you was to cancel in 14 days. That wasn't in the ad or auto shipment which I just recieved a shipment today. I was charged $ 89 and $98. Will be mailing back. There is no shipment paers with the products on how much you paid. They don't evern notify by e-mail that they call shipped it to you and how much your card was charged. This is nothing more than a SCAM!
I also ordered the L' ETOILE anti wrinkle cream trial product for $4.95. Received the product but it did not contain any written instructions instructions in reference to two week trial and I that I would be charged $98.09 on Aug 8, 2017. I received Beware. This is a scam!
I ordered the sample for "free" and paid for shipping. I have now been billed twice, only received one shipment, and I can't find anyway to cancel this.
Ordered "Sample" Product..,.paid shipping and handling as was told would be. In fact, I believe it ended up being more than thought, but let it slide. Tried the product and was not impressed with it, but had a very busy month and forgot to call and cancel future orders. When I saw that my card had been charged for another order, I called and canceled future orders, not realizing they had not yet sent the product for the $39.24 they were charging me for. When I called back, I was told that because I canceled future orders, and had not cancelled within the 14 day trial period, they charged me the $39.24 for the "Sample", and I was not due a refund.
I ordered a free trial offer from this company and paid shipping. I did nor order any more of this product but was charged on an account was closed before it was charged. I did not give them my new charge account number. I was told that I should have read the small print and that I was being charged for the product that was suppose to be free except for the shipping. The whole thing was deceptive and how did they get my new card number. It was not cheap, it was a charge of over $89.00 dollars. There was never any mention of how much or that I was being charged for the trial product.
Ordered Trial Offer from internet ad with celebrity endorsement. No mention of future charges in ad or return information. Shipping was charged by two companies but product in single with no receipt. L'etoile ordered...product labeled Beaute.
Amounts of 89.95 and 99.95 charged to my Capital One account with reason from company rep that I did not cancel within
14 days. Capital One reviewing but I don't know result as yet.
Scam on Facebook. Billed my c.c. $189 for products I didn't' order. Muse sent out by Direct Shipping so u don't know company address or phone. Used popular Joanna Gaines name to scam women into believing it was her skin care company.
Put an article stating Joann Gains was leaving her hgtv show to focus on her new skin line. And I could receive a trial of the product for $14.95. Never did it mention after 14 days I'd automatically be charged $96 for another shipment. I called to cancel which wa almost impossible because the rep tried Everest possible to charge me for a percentage of the shipment. I finally was able to get 2 cancellation numbers and a RMA number to return the shipment when it arrives.
I ordered free trial freight only on L'etoile Anti-Wrinkle Complex $4.94. I also ordeed free trial freight only Illustra Intensive Eye Cream $5.96. I was given two order receipts 6692537 and 6692539 for a toatal of $10.90. I have printed the receipt.
I called VISA about my purchase and L'etiole billed me an additional $1.98 for an unknown item not on their order receipt. I have disputed that amount. L'etoile does not have a working website or email address. Their phone number is 888-636 but there was only any answering machine when I called today.
There was nothing to indicate recurring charges anywhere in their ad. I will try calling them again tommorow.
I purchased the free trial and paid 4.95 x2 for 2 samples. I looked for fine print for cancelling or they will ship more and did not find it so I ordered the free samples. I was then charged for the next order 89.00 x 2,
i called the same day and they only wanted to read from their script, would not get me a supervisor, told me the free sample i paid 4.95 x 2 was tge actual product , the next shipment since i didn't cancel but i never received any product for the 4.95 x 2 since they insist there is no free product although their website clearly states there is, pay shipping only. I never received anything else althoufh they charged me 89.00 x 2,
They will not put on a supervisor or listen to me since they only read from a script and keep referring to their script. They won't listen to the reason for my call. I have made over 5 calls and when you do call the system doesn't recognize the phone number you ordered from and keeps insisting you keep entering the phone number you ordered from.
At this time i have been charged 4.95 x 2 and 89.00 x 2 and only received 2 small sample bottles and it has been a month since they debited my account, they insistthere is nothing more coming in the mail and the product i paid for were the small samples i received.
Signed up for a 14 day trial for $14.95. Two weeks later they took $98.08 out of my account. I did not read anywhere payments would continue to come out unless canceled. I called for a refund which they refused. Since they refused, I told them to send me the product that I paid for and it's the same size as the trial product.
I ordered my "free" sample, just had to pay shipping and handling, ok no problem, that money was taken out of my bank account. Never received the product. The next month $98.00 and some change was taken out of my account for the same product. I called them told them I had not received my free sample yet. The man on the other end, who barley spoke English, told me that I was charged because I did not "cancel" after I received my free trial. I told him that I never received my free trial to get the information to cancel it. His response was that their records indicated that it had been delivered. I ask how it was sent, he said through the mail. I told him again. I had not received it !!! He said again that their records indicated that I had. I told him I did not want his product and I wanted my money back. Of course he said they do not give refunds because I had the chance to cancel the order when I received my free trial. I asked to speak to a supervisor, he said there were no supervisor available !! He offered me 50% off my next months supply, I told him again I did not want his product !! So.....I never received my "free" trial, and I have not yet received my $98.00 one either !!!!
Letoile skin care , I bought their product on the internet . They worded their sales as a one time low price of $4.99 and for the eye serum $4.89 give or take a few cents . No where did I read that they would charge my account $98.00 and $89.00 give or take a few cents for their product at a later date . If I would have seen this in print I would have never agreed . I would never in my life pay over $80.00 dollars for something I have never used or even heard of . It has put me in a financial bind .
I orered a sample from a site saying it was free....shipping only and next thing I know my card is chaged over $85 twice and it came throug as fraud, but I did not catch it fast enough and now I am stuck with the charges.
this is a scam for sure....I can find no corporate office and only calling centers pick up ohone...they handle hundreds of products.
Ive contactef letoile to cancel my order via email & havent gotten a response. I will ne calling them directly Tommorow to see if that rectify the situation.
They showed this commercial for 4.99 with the lady from Joanna Gains. Said it was her new company and she was retiring from the show because her products were on the rise and she needed to work with this. When they billed first time it was 4.99 and 1.99 shipping and handling. Then they withdrew from my checking account 98.00 and some change. I used my debit card to pay for this. Any help?
L'Etoil / Illusra advertise a "free trial" , charge approx. $5.00 for "free trial" shipping, then charge approx. $100 each for 2 products and automatically charge this every month. Only way to return the product (even if you develop an allergic reaction) is to return it in the sealed package, unused; which, of course, you cannot do. Complete attempt to take advantage of people by emphasizing the alleged "free trial." Disgusting.
Be aware of this company. When I called them the guy on the phone told me twice he wouldn't cancel and I would have to call back. I told him he would cancel it because I was not calling back. What is this world coming to when ads like this lie and take your money.
This company states a free trial. However, if you open the container and try it. They charge you an additional 5.95 to exit their program. Their product is baking soda mixed with lotion of some sort I'm sure. It's such a rip off. When I asked to refund my money the guy on the phone refused to cancel my order twice. He said wait two weeks. And I threatened to call better business bureau and he then canceled my order. However he still charged my card another 10.00. Even after I said no. Rediculous scam.
This company says there product is 4.95 then charges you 98.29 for a product that is .5 oz of products no phone # , you can't find anything on the internet to try to get your money back.
After reading an ad for "free sample" I provided my address. Did not put in credit card # and did not approve any subscription. Realized it was a subscription scam, and clicked out of the page.
The sample came. Nothing noticeable happened after use.
Another box came, along with a charge for $98 to my credit card. Called their office and was told that my subscription can be cancelled, but that I was supposed to cancel after 14 days to avoid future billing. I never subscribed but the "help" insisted that I did.
L'etoile skin care uses a deceiving ordering process for selling their skin care products online disguised as a free trial. I reported several of their deceptive practices to the los angeles better business bureau and, within less than a week, i managed to get refunds for the 2 products they charged me once the 14 day trial ended, for a total of almost $200. I also contacted my financial institution to report the fraud and block my payment card from future charges.
I am still working with the bbb to get the merchant to correct their web pages.
I was also told you can file a complaint through internet crime complaint center at https://complaint.Ic3.Gov, who are in the best position to fully investigate any such issue across any/all service providers. I haven't gotten around to it yet.

A note in small print at the bottom of the checkout page does indicate a charge after 14 day trial, but no checkbox, as claimed when i called for a refund See sample text below).
They advertize, for instance, product trials for $5.96 illustra and $4.94 l'etoile skin care including shipping As well as other product names). While you think you are ordering 1 trial product, you are truly placing an order for 2 trial skin products and 2 monthly subscriptions. I received 2 emails from [email protected] for l'etoile trial and a buyer protection charge and another email for an illustra eye serum trial order from [email protected], right after i placed my order for l'etoile cream.
A small 'buyer protection' checkbox for "safe shipping" is checked by default and causes you to be charged an extra $1.98 if you don't take the time to read through the whole page before submitting your order.
They make false claims about celebrities using their products and an advanced highly concentrated maximum strength formula with premium ingredients. The product sheet in shipment has absolutely no product name but a list of claims: decreases fine lines, removes puffiness, hydrates... Diminishes wrinkles. They do not list their ingredients on the products themselves. The shipment includes a little card with a list of possible billing names for your upcoming credit card statement, signed by erica baldwin, chief beauty officer, and a customer service # 888-636-1356.
When i called for a refund, they falsely claimed that their page includes a "i accept terms & conditions" checkbox that i had to click. Most people do not scroll down the checkout page and therefore they do not notice that information. The confirmation emails (1 per product with different company names) do not include that information either.
I was billed respectively $98.09 for l'etoile cream (88t*pieroskincare 888-370-1432) and $89.29 for illustra Agefreeskin 866-495-1782).
Several websites Unfortunately, ranked higher than outscam) rate their products decently well.
If you call any of their customer service numbers, they refuse to refund the charges after the 14 day trial period and they decline any return, even if the product is unused. They offer a discount for future months, which i wasn't interested in. If you insist, they claim they will cancel the subscription and you will not get charged for the following months. I wouldn't trust that.
Unsurprisingly, their product quality is low. No noticeable skin improvement with l'etoile cream, unlike other products i've used.
The phone rep gave me this address for their company, after i insistently asked for it:
L'etoile premium skin care
120 east 8th st #301
Los angeles, ca 90014
The product names, price amounts, company names, domain names keep changing.

A few of the observations i shared with the better business bureau:
1. If you click on the rush my trial button at http://letoilecream.Org/, it navigates you to https://restoraagedefy.com/special/ccm/desk/?Tid=102e16918fc377e610099a5f7e0b11&subid=letoilecrmlaura&affid=1006.
After entering your contact info, you land on the checkout page https://restoraagedefy.com/special/ccm/desk/checkout.Php.
If you scroll down the page, you can find the small print note below. This information needs to be moved to the top of the page, so all customers see it. There should be a checkbox, unselected by default, requiring users to acknowledge they read this condition. Checking this checkbox should be required to submit the order.
"we take great pride in our restora age-defy skin care line! it is the most powerful anti-aging system on the market. All our customers love it! if for some reason you do not, we can issue a refund. By submitting, you consent to having read and agreed to our terms. After your fourteen days trial period, you will be charged the retail price of the product $89.97 and will be enrolled in our anti-wrinkle membership program. Call customer care anytime if you have any questions or concerns."
2. Also note that when you click on the rush my trial button, this places an order for a serum called restora, not l'etoile cream, presented in the previous page http://letoilecream.Org/! this is also a deceptive practice.
Saw this product on Facebook and ordered 14-day trial. Product is thick and not effective. I called to cancel the product, I was advised I would receive a refund of money taken out of my account. After several calls, company states no record of previous calls (although I have a cancellation number) and therefore cannot refund money. I did not receive product so not sure what I'm paying for $98. Staff is scripted and repeats the same defense. Does not let you speak to management. Complaints will be filed with consumer bureau and FTC.
I ordered a Trial sample only of E'Tolls Skin cream and eye serum. My credit card was charged immediately for $98.56 for this sample which should have only been $4.95 for shipping just like their website says. The samples I got were only for 14 days worth of this product. When I called them, they insisted they sent me a FULL size for each of these products which were the face and eye serum. I asked them why their ad said nothing about getting a FULL size for something that was only a sample I never authorized a charge of $98.56. The website total only said shipping which was for $ 4.95 only, nothing said I would be BILLED for the $98.56. This company is a fraud and I am surprised that the Shark Tank endorsed this company and their fraudulent practices. When I called to ask for a refund of the $98.56. They. Told me that this was not possible because they sent me a FULL size of the products. I offered to send back the bars so they could verify the sizes and they refused to do that. I told them that this was wrong of them because I am on a very limited income and could not afford to pay the $98.56 at that time. There is also nothing on their website that indicates that they automatically send the product out once a month and charge your credit card each month for the full amount which is 98.56. The only way to stop it is to call them and stop the shipments. Nothing on the website I was on, indicated any of this. This company is despicable. The are runming a scam on a lot of peple. Shame on you Sharks for putting your money in the type of DISHONEST company.
On Facebook this ad was posted and I should have ignored it. Offered free samples of two products for the cost of shipping $4.99 for each which seemed fair for a trial size product. Ordered and then exactly 15 days after receipt an auto order of 98.09 was charged on my credit card. I called to complain that I didn't authorize I was told it was in the fine print, which it wasn't as I read all on the posting in facebook. The representative tried to offer a 50% discount to continue the shipments which I declined and asked for a full refund and cancellation. She then said she wouldn't refund unless the product was returned unopened. Obviously I had open the "free sample" and said this is unethical practive of doing business. She said she would cancel future orderes but this wouldnt be refunded. I filed a dispute on my credit card and expect they will see this is a scam. This company is crooked and needs to be investigated and shut down. Don't get trapped. The small samples are not worth $98!
This company is a complete scam. They send you another product instead of what they advertise. They refused to refund my money for less than a 30 day of junk cream because of their supposed 14 day return in small print. The product they send is misrepresented as a trial but is in fact a less than 30 day product. I have two cancellation numbers from them and immediately advised my credit card company. They refuse to refund $130, plus their $4.95 shipping. They have no e-mail address to communicate with them. I am also turning this in to the Better Business Bureau as a scam nationwide and on the internet. Many people have been on line regarding this scam.
Advertised on Face Book under the guise of The Shark Tank who at the time was advertising a face cream. I was under the impression the Shark Tnak was the sponsor. All you had to pay was shipping and handling for a free. sample.
I rec. L'Etoile and also Illustra which I did not order. Our credit card came and what a shock. I was charged $98.09 for a product called Pure Beauty and $89.29 for another product called KKY Collageneye.
i called the the California number and was informed that I had checked a box and now had to pay. This gentleman named "Ryan" offered to give me a refund ranging from 10% to 50% on each item. This negotiating went on for seeral minutes. Finally I hung up and he called me back twice, now the refund was 50% I refused and called my credit card company.
Bad news, Mastercard informed me that this went on all the time and if I checked a box the above company would reject our claim. I do not remember checking a box, but ?
I then called an alternate number in Wy. I asked the lady why I had found their product on the Shark Tank, her answer "We use a third party ?" I then asked why the products were listed under another name. Her answer "When we run out we substitute"
Having no choice but to cut my losses I told her that Ryan had offered me a 50% refund. She agreed and now I'm to rec. a refund of $93.70 on my Mastercard within 72 hours. Lesson llearned. Also I tried the product one time and awful. I've been using a computer for 30 years my first and last scam. there is no address on the product, ther was no brochure.
I found the Letoile Co to have very poor customer service. I ordered a trial of their skin product on line Mar.27. I did not like the product and called 4/17 to obtain an address to return the remaining product. The rep would not consider a full or partlal refund because 'the product had been tampered with'. Explain to me how else could you try their product without opening it?
He did offer reduced pricing on future orders but, since I did not like it to start with, future orders were not in my best interest. I had to pay $103 total for a product I have to throw out. I want to alert others to their poor service pleas.
L'etoile Reviews
CREAM L/ETOILE
THIS IS THE WORST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER GOT I BROKE OUT ALL OVER MY FACE AND NECK
I want my money back NOW!
So, now they have the merchandise and the money.
I requested a $4.95 trial bottle.
I have since received monthly bills for $84.00 along with more product that I do not want.
I tried to send the unopened product back, but UPS could not fine the address!!
I would like to cancel future mailings and billings, but do not know how to contact them.
The reason I am writing is that I saw this eye cream on the internet and TV. I think it was discovered on the tv show
called Shark Tank. I ordered it and now it keeps coming and my Visa is being charged.
I am going to call Bank of America to see if they will put a hold on it.
Letoile product charged me $98 and add cents with out my approval, even I cancelled order.
Letoile Skin Cream
Ordered Trial Offer from internet ad with celebrity endorsement. No mention of future charges in ad or return information. Shipping was charged by two companies but product in single with no receipt. L'etoile ordered...product labeled Beaute.
Amounts of 89.95 and 99.95 charged to my Capital One account with reason from company rep that I did not cancel within
14 days. Capital One reviewing but I don't know result as yet.
Was a trial offer and hurt my eyes and does not do what's advertising. And now they can not be reached
I NEVER subscribe to these fake skin care things.

Sample small print i found after the fact on one of their checkout pages:
"by clicking "order now" we're giving you a trial bottle for only $4.95 today Non refundable), and then you have 14 days from the date you place your order with us to evaluate the product. If you are unhappy with the product at any time during those 14 days, you must call or email us to avoid being billed and cancel receiving future shipments. If you are satisfied with our product, do nothing and we will bill you $89.95 for the trial bottle you received. We will also send you a full month supply for $89.95 plus $4.95 shipping and handling, every thirty (30) days thereafter. Cancel anytime by phone by calling 866-991-4084."
