I am writing this report to inform you about a problem that is happening with this company called Kyte which is a mobile sales app available on both Android and iOS devices. When they first started out, the app was completely free to use.
I had subscribed to their so-called PRO Lifetime membership plan which allows me to add unlimited products, unlimited customers, and unlimited users. I never much used the app until approximately 4 months ago, our company decided to move to this platform because of the lucrative pricing that was basically free to use. And so I migrated all of our databases from the previous one to Kyte.
Everything was running smoothly until recently, the company decided to change its plans and start charging users. There is nothing wrong with that and they have every right to do so. They are currently charging $5.99 / month for the PRO plan, $8.99 / month for the GROW plan, and $167.99 / month for the PRIME plan. But wait for a second, I had a PRO LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP.
They can't just downgrade existing users who had this plan to the free version as they're breaking their own terms and conditions. Worst of all, when I came to message them through their live chat support inside my account portal, I messaged them twice over 2 days and even on Facebook Messenger but they never replied.
As I was checking on their pricing page, in order to send them a ticket or even chat with them live online, you should be subscribed to at least their PRO plan. So, literally, that means that I can't contact them unless I pay and subscribe to one of their paid plans. And now we are forced to pay for something that we thought we had some piece of mind that we'll never pay anything.
That is why I would like to report this company for not respecting users' rights of taking such an action without our consent. I want my PRO lifetime membership back because currently, our sales rep cannot place orders due to this very issue.
Bottom line is that it's not about whether we can afford to pay for their current PRO plan or not, which we obviously can, but they absolutely no right to downgrade existing customers who had a lifetime membership deal with them back to the free version and remove features which we already had. This is like someone giving you a gift on your birthday and after a week, telling you that they want the gift back.
If we knew this was going to happen, we wouldn't have signed up with them in the first place. I want the company to be severely sued by a penalty either to restore users' full rights or to have this company pay a hefty penalty for their crimes.
