A few years ago, I took a vehicle to the Starnes/Davis KK and they overcharged me several hundred dollars for a PVC valve replacement. I used to use them exclusively. Never again.

You will feel ripped off every time!

It's true. Every time I took a vehicle in, there were add-ons because they are looking to find additional things "wrong" so they can charge you more. I never went home feeling like I'd received a good value. I finally stopped going there, which is a shame because it is so convenient.

I experienced problems with my car, including a check engine light 1 month ago. Upon my arrival at kwik Kar Lube, they did a diagnostic to determine the problem, which was a gasket valve replacement of $330.00. I was told that I had an oil leak on my spark plugs replacing that would fix the problem. Two weeks later my vehicle continued to repeat the same problem it initially did. I brought my car back to the same place,where did conducted another diagnostic and told me I need to replace the mass air flow sensor which resulted in $345.00. I was again told that this would fix my issue and approximately 2 weeks later my car not only contiued the same problems but now it will not start.

I took my vehicle to be repaired at kwik kar Lube & Auto Repair I was given a quoted price on paper detailing if i bought my own parrs which was spark plugs, and a EGR Valve that it would be cheaper than regular price. After i purchased the sparg Plugs and Egr valve and the amount which was 92.00 for labor of the sparg plugs 47.00 for labor of the Egr Valve which would have been 130.99 +230 = a 55.00 discount and told me i owe them 55.00 which is suppossively be the discount. I paid 180.99 On the receipt details that they only replaced 2 sparg plug and not the whole thing so what a total rip off this was and car still sounds the same as never worked on sounds terrible. an the EGR valve after supposively installing it where the motor light was suppose to go off still remains on. 2 days later i took my same vehicle there to get an inspection done and it failed due to motor light on which they did not fix after all and requested letter from my doctor for the tinted windows i issued the letter as requested and the same mechanic which gave me the quote for the repairs told me the cars passed just i need to bring the 55.00 and bring another Egr Valve sensor to be installed on the vehicle. Afterward the same mechanic which wrote and gave the the quoted price refused that he ever wrote any quoted price said it must have been someone else when it was him all along. So here i am still in the same boat as in the beginning in the middle of nowhere.

If i were you i would not take my vehicle there for any repairs even after an oil change was done oil was everywhere i had to clean all the oil and hand prints off of my car which they left very dirty. I recommend not to use this location.

$ you can, Avoid this location at all cost

Brought my wife's car on Saturday and they told me the diagnosis cost $90 and hour plus labor and parts etc.. They misdiagnosed my problem initially, and just told me about it at the end of the day.. So basically I wouldn't get the car back until Monday. Then on Monday, I speak to someone on the phone in the morning and was told that I would be charged for one hour of diagnosis, plus labor for reprogramming my original nissan key. Later in that day I come to pick up the car and I am told that I am getting charged 3 hrs of diagnosis, because it took them longer to get to the real root cause. Why am I getting charged for their mistake in diagnosis... Plus they charged me $150 for reprogramming the key which is even more than what the Nissan dealership charges... I couldn't leave the car there again as my wife badly needed it for the next day, and it was toward the end of the day already so I just paid and took it, otherwise I would have left it there and go back to talk to a manager the following day... One thing for sure, never again they will see me there as a customer !!!

I was very disappointed in how we were recently treated at this establishment. To the point I will recommend to everyone I know not to do business here. We took my wifes Mazda Miata in to Kwik Kar on Bryant Irvin on 3/4/2016 for an oil change and an inspection. Kwik Kar told her she needed a new battery, wiring harness, and some other items. They inspected the car, it passed, then they did the work on the battery, harness, and etc. $490 later the car won't start and the manager recommends we take it across the street to the Mazda dealer to have it fixed. We are still waiting to hear from the dealer but we were assured it was not the immobilization system on the car, but most likely the work we had done at Kwik Kar. You would think the manager would have at least followed up with us if not the owner who could not be reached all weekend.
