I purchased my 2007 Jeep Compass in April 2018. 4 months later my car wouldn't start and I took it to my mechanic who noted that there was an issue with the oil switch that needed to be replaced. In January 2019 I was contacted via text message by the salesman who sold me the car stating that the dealership does "fake safety inspections" (which I have in writing).
In March of 2019, there was issues with the car running. I took it back to the mechanic, who found there to be several issues with the car. I was sold a car that I could have been in a major accident with. Per my mechanic, the dealership knew about the issues and prior to selling me the car, willfully knowing that my car was unsafe to drive and that I would not be able to pass an emissions test. The issues are listed below:
Subframe
Lower control arm w/ ball joint
Front quick strut monroe
Ignition coils
Magnaflow Catalytic converter
Oxygen Sensor
Sway bar links
Evap code repair
I am seeking repayment of the costs to repair my car, totaling $3897.65
