I just got scammed by Kristian Walters. I attempted to buy Coachella tickets and made a terrible mistake of sending him a check. But he never came through with the tickets as he promised. My heart sank when I searched him on Google. I did some research and found him on Facebook. I can't believe this guy has a son, let alone a father who has a vast criminal history. I wish people do not make the same mistake I did. I have filed a police report and will soon contact Washoe Sheriff.
I can't believe this guy is STILL able to scam people.
I am writing this report for my mother who was the person that was scammed.
Date of first contact: November 10, 2015
My mother reached out via Craigslist to Kristian interested in Warriors tickets. After much conversation and Kristian sending him a picture of himself, his passport, a picture of a screenshot that looked like a Warriors account, and a screenshot of the 4 seat locations, my mother thought he was a trustworthy guy and transferred him money via Western Union for $600 for 4 tickets. RIGHT after, she called him and he stated that he would transfer the tickets right away. He tried to confuse her by telling her she needed to create a Warriors account in which then he would be able to transfer the tickets but we had already provided him with my email address, in which the transfer would have gone through (I have a warriors account).
Throughout the night, my mother kept texting him asking him to transfer the tickets and we received a text early in the AM saying he would call her once he woke up. He then reached back out to her stating he would contact her once at work and "help" her with the transfer. I then took matters into my hands and texted and called him stating that all he needed to do was use my email (which was already provided to him) to transfer the tickets. NO RESPONSE AT ALL. My mother has filed a police report but as the game is not until Nov 20th (today is Nov 17), they stated he hasn't committed the crime yet and they won't be able to do anything.
Nov 17: I decided to try again and give him a call but through a blocked number. I called him and he PICKED UP in which I asked who it was and lied and said I had a "missed call from this number". He stated his name was Kris. I then told him then we recently bought tickets from him and we have yet to receive them. He kept telling me he had no idea what I was talking about and hung up on me. I then texted stating "we were able to trace the call and that the police will take matters into their own hands once Nov 20th comes. He ended up blocking my phone number and that was the last we heard from him.
With that being said.. I am responding to these posts as HE NEEDS TO BE STOPPED. The worst part is, is that he was able to attack my poor mother in which ALL she wanted was to go to a Warriors game. His parole officer needs to make sure he NO LONGER DOES THIS and should make sure he pays back all of the people that he scammed! This can't be right and surely it is unjust.
Come Nov 21st, my mother and I will be going to the police to take further action as we now have more information.. he lives in Reno, has a son, is from Millbrae CA, "owns" his own company (HA), facebook, linkedin, everything.

Piece of garbage he is. Somehow he stays out of jail. He owes me $400 from an Internet scam he pulled in 2007.
