Mark Farrar is a disgrace as both a designer and a human being. There are currently numerous cases against him pending with both the Better Business Bureau and the Montana Department of Labor. He is an alcoholic drug addict who has not actually designed a house that has actually been built in over 10 years because of his inability to function as an adult.
He makes false claims and empty promises while touting himself as a "certified design professional". He tries to convince his clients and contractors to use expensive, unorthodox homebuilding techniques only to be able to say he has done so. His clients and subcontractors continue to turn away from him. His latest 3+ week binge and subsequent disappearance resulted in everyone in his employ quitting, to which his response was to withhold their final paychecks.
Further examples of his unprofessional conduct include him having improper sexual relations with secondary girls he trolls on internet dating sites. I feel sorry for the unsuspecting woman he claims to be dating, but has no knowledge of these things. Years of repeating this behavior, over and over have resulted in his own family turning their backs on him. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this farce. Doing so will save you countless amounts of money, delays and embarassment.
