We have two Klimaire 2 ton mini-splits. One failed and we got an error code. My HVAC company called and confirmed the code that indicated a board was bad. They sent us a new board, charged us $300 for it with the understanding they would refund the $300 when we returned the bad board. The new board did not fix the problem! HVAC company called again and the tech support said that if the board did not fix the problem, it was the compressor. Called Klimaire, Florida parts and they charged me $500 to ship a new compressor, same story, send old one back for refund. Three days later, not a word from them the compressor shipped and they failed to send me an e-mail with the warranty claim information. This company has another major issue. The parts department does not answer the phone 95% of the time and you have to leave a message. How bad can a company get?
This is just about the worst product support I have ever seen from a company that touts itself as one of the best and most reliable for these products. I can only compare it to AT&T and Time Warner with whom I will never deal with again unless there is absolutely no choice.
We shall see if the compressor shows up and it fixes the problem. Good luck calling Klimaire for parts.
Klimaire Multi-split Ar Conditioner main printed wiring board burnt up after two short cooling seasons.
After dozens of no response telecons and Email attempts, I find that Klimaire has no support for its products in New England areas. I managed to purchase the subject Circuit board after several months into the next year. Circuit board was received weeks later wrapped in plain cardboard box wrapped in static generating plastic and no invoive. Packaging suggested this was a reclaimed Product.
I Emailed Klimaire Warranty of this concern, but again received no response.
Upon installation, the Unit dispalys an error code. Again after several attempts to communicate with Klimaire, I received no support. Wrote Miami Dade Consumer protection, but they also received no response. I am now stuck with $5000 worth of Heat pump equipment which cannot be serviced in my area. Klimaire states only certified Klimaire Technicians may work on their products.
