I contacted KJ Miller Roofing to repair a skylight leak after a hurricane. I was originally quoted $400.00 for the complete repair. After I received money from my insurance company, the quote was changed to $1,700.00 which was paid by check. After review of the repair, the price was inflated by at least $1,000.00.
The man who showed up to do the job insisted that the check be made out to him (Ronnie Caldwell), not the contractors name (KJ Miller Roofing.) The check was cashed at a bank by Mr. Caldwell with his signature and account number.
After several attemtps to reach Kevin Miller (The Contractor), I was always called back by Ronnie Caldwell asking me what I want. The owner of the company and Contractor has yet to return any phone calls even after dozens of attempts.
I fully believe that Ronnie Caldwell who did the work is stealing from the contractor who knows nothing about the job which was performed. I am a 75 year old woman and fully believe I was taken advantage of by this man. All I did was to simply ask for a call back from the contractor, owner.
I cannot seem to get resolution from the company in which I hired. I hired KJ Miller Roofing, Not Ronnie Caldwell.
This is a scam, not only against me, but also against the licensed contractor.
