So as of recent, I had started getting back into this game that I've played for well over 6 years (Yeah a big investment right?). Well, someone had gotten into my account; long story short the account was compromised. Now here I am contacting customer support to try and resolve this issue right? WRONG! They have what seems to be automated systems or actual people working for them who are brainwashed to reply like robots. Either or that's not my point. Point being, they reply back to me saying this:
"Hello,
The account has been banned due to a confirmed violation of our Terms of Use. Specifically, it was found to have been accessed by unauthorized players &/or been confirmed having accessed other accounts. For the integrity & security of all the accounts, it has been permanently banned and is no longer accessible for Wizard101 or Pirate101.
We're sorry the choice was made to violate the Terms of Use. Unfortunately, for the safety of the larger playing population, we respectfully request you seek entertainment elsewhere.
Sincerely,
KingsIsle Support"
Funny right? "KingsIsle "Support"" LOL. Anywho, I'm not a lawyer or anything but can a business do whatever they want with an account you have made? Is it right as an American business to do so? Because I mean, Mark Zucc was called up to Congress for using other peoples photos; but then again it's his website so he can do whatever he pleases right? I don't know but, to me, personally, I feel violated.
Part 2:
Here we go again. Here I am with a BRAND NEW ACCOUNT everybody yes, brand new. I decided to make a new account so I could be able to play with my cousin who of recent had found out about this game and had told me to get into it. I tell him in shock "heck yeah, matter of fact I've played it for over 6 years" So therefore since my previous account was banned (Thank you for such an amazing customer support by the way Kingsisle, love it!) because it was compromised by someone else, I make a new account. We start leveling up, I get to level 26 I believe and then we get offline (We played for 6-8 Hours straight). Then we decide to get some crowns. So I tell him I'll buy some first and then you can, so if we get what we want we don't both have to spend the money for it. I go ahead and make the purchase, everything is going fine. Long story short I didn't get what I wanted. So now he goes to make the purchase ( again we're both on our own SEPARATE ACCOUNTS) on his own account, and all of the sudden there seemed to be an error. Which stated "Suspect Billing Activity" it also stated " "To further continue please contact support at [email protected]" Now speaking of my last encounter of their support I really didn't want to, considering how poorly I was treated last time. But it was for my cousin, so in a way, I had to; to help him out. Here I am contacting support about my issue, which was "Suspect Billing Activity". I even end up sending them screenshots of the receipts I had for both my purchase and his purchase. Then, BOOM! "Account has been banned" No email was sent of why nothing. Just banned right after I make contact with them. So then I'm thinking to myself, Ok, maybe their system indicated a problem. Maybe even a "fraudulent purchase" so it had to lock us out of our accounts. I then wait 3 days for a reply back in which they stated this:
"Hello,

Specifically, it was found to have been accessed by unauthorized players &/or been confirmed having accessed other accounts. Oh, by the way, did I mention that my cousin and I had merged accounts through their "Family Account" system. So for some odd reason, if you do that, every single account under the family is banned. Great isn't it (so watch out parents, because if your kid says something bad, then you better pray because you're all getting banned)? That's not what really stands out to me, what stood out to me the most is them quote on quote saying:"Specifically, it was found to have been accessed by unauthorized players &/or been confirmed having accessed other accounts." Really? So I would love for them to pull up my IP address and prove that I have logged into any other account other than my own. I'm not even going to get to the fact of where if it's a merged family account more than likely I probably know the person really really closely. But that's not the case here, because I didn't access his account not once. Now what irritates me is that I'm not too familiar with the law. I don't know if them stating this: "PLEASE NOTE: YOU DO NOT OWN THE ACCOUNT YOU USE TO ACCESS THE SITE, AND YOU DO NOT OWN ANY DATA OR VIRTUAL ASSETS/CURRENCY THE COMPANY STORES ON ITS SERVERS RELATED TO THE ACCOUNT. You have no ownership interest in any virtual items or virtual currency that may be associated with the account from time-to-time. You acknowledge and agree that any virtual currency in the Site is virtual only, with no cash value in the “real world” or online outside of the Site. Your account is nontransferable so you do not have any right to sell or otherwise transfer your account or any virtual items or currency associated with your account in the “real world.” The Company does not recognize any such sale or transfer." Saves their a*s every time they screw up on something. Again bringing back up Mark Zucc situation. I would also like to compare this case to an extent with "Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission" that's currently going on right now. My comparison would be that yes I understand that the baker (Kingsisle Lets say) has his own business to run and that he can deny people of business with a probable cause. Let's just say that the baker said: "I wouldn't be able to make you a cake because I've got too much on my hands right now." Then there would be no case. But because he said "No because I'm Christian and you two are a gay couple" it's a court case now. Same thing with Kingsisle I'd like to say that the wording they used to ban me was not because I do not own anything related to the game, but because of "unauthorized use" (Which is crap) So I would love to hear back from you guys can see what there is to say, or if I can even take action. I would love to take action!
Thank you all for your time, and trying to making light out of this situation.
