This company came out on a Sunday when my A/C was not blowing cold air. I was told the wires needed replacing and the coils, inside and out needed cleaning. The service tech showed me a photo on his phone of burned, melted wires. The service tech came to my house late after telling me he was home "taking a nap" and completed the repairs for $635. There was a warranty for 90 days. Less than 2 weeks later, I had the same problem. I called the phone number and Lauren told me the tech would be at my home within the hour. I waited 2 hours for the service tech who was "finishing his lunch and would be right over". Once here, the same tech who "replaced the burned wires" went outside and told me that the fan motor was not working, and I needed a new motor as well as a new blade. He also suggested that because the cost would be high to repair the air conditioning I should consider a new air conditioner, which of course this company would be glad to sell to me. The repair estimate was $630 and they would give me 10% off because they had been at my home less than 2 weeks earlier. When I asked about the price and questioned what brand of motor they were using, the tech became almost hostile. I called two other companies while he was here and found out that the "universal motor" was about 1/4 the price I was being quoted. When I asked about the price, the tech told me he was not going to do the repair, put the A/C back together, got in his truck, and left. He also told me that he was shocked I received the advise from another company about the price being too high because "they should know how this type of business operates". I called the company and spoke to Lauren and she told me that it was my choice to check with another company for a price on the new motor, that she no longer would do the job or honor my warranty, and that she did not care what kind of review of the company I left. I called another A/C company who was at my home within 15 minutes and looked at the motor. There was absolutely nothing wrong with any of the parts. The service tech told me that he could not replace the motor or the blades because they were in perfect working condition. He charged me nothing for the service call, and my air conditioning is now running smoothly. He simply cleared a few leaves away from the fan that was causing it to stop. I have researched this company and the Internet sites where they advertise and found that this company writes most of its own good reviews - they are written by the owners to offset all the negative reviews. I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau in Florida. The case was investigated and the company provided a self serving response from the owners (an apology for their "unprofessionalism") and the case is now closed.
