This guy is a known scammer who preys on people in southern Ontario. How he continues to do business blows my mind. We ordered a washing machine from Mark (this is just one of the several names he goes by- he’ll give you other phone numbers and names of "his boss” or coworkers but they’re all aliases; he does this so he can later tell you "I just work here I don’t know what’s going on”). We had to call multiple times for him to finally come by and deliver our machine.
When we called he told us various stories that were just not consistent with each other as to why it took so long. Anyways he finally came by and replaced the machine (did it very poorly- dropped it multiple times down the stairs, had the hot and cold lines switched, was cursing in front of kids throughout the whole time). He said he would move my other machine out to my garage but when he figured out I wanted to do a test load while he was doing that he said he had another delivery to make and left immediately.
I ran a test load and it leaked water and the machine made horrible noises and was moving around. It just didn’t work. We called him multiple times for many days but couldn’t get a hold of him. We resorted to going to his office at 22 King St E in Dundas and finally got to talk to him. He told us he just worked at the place and was unaware of what his boss would do. I brought up some reviews online that other people had about his business and he said he just started working there so he wasn’t aware.
He promised that he would come by the next day to exchange the machine (since it apparently had a 6 month warranty). He obviously never came and didn’t call us. When I called him and asked him when he’d come by he told me he didn’t recall who I was. I told him that we visited him just 2 days prior and described my physical aspects as well as the situation with our washing machine and he still couldn’t recall who I was. He then started talking very aggressively with me and ended up telling me to go F myself.
Once again I’m very confused at why this man is still allowed to do business let alone not be prosecuted for his actions. I just hope this account helps future potential victims.
Mike Sutton sold me a Maytag Neptune via Kijji, I set it up and got a LR message. Called him many many many times to come and fix it. Nothing, this company is fraudulent DO NOT BUY ANYTHING off them. Con artists.
