Since we contracted Elevation Solar, we experienced nothing but problems. First it installed smaller amount of panels than agreed to. Then, the representative agreed to take payments direct from our bank account. After the first bill was late, I called him. He stated that he lost my account number. Imailed the payment. A few days after that, another payment was deducted fro our bank account. I called him, and he denied this. I told him not to take another payment out of our account.
The company did not bring the panels up to contract level. I contacted an attorney, and the panels were installed. Since then the system has been inoperative multiple times. The respnse time was rediculous. Now, for two months, the system is not producing. I have called and sent multiple emails to no avail. Payments are not sent since the APS bill is higher than I was paying for both company's charges. I am going to wait one week. Then, I am going to initiate court action to either abide by the contract or remove their system off our roof.
My original lease company, Sungevity Solar, went bankrupt and the lease was purchased by this company. They demanded over $9,000 to purchase my 15 year-old panels or renew my lease for an additional 10 years. They have tacked on an additional 9% fee for "taxes". They claimed I owed over $400 in late fees (at which time I had already been paying out regular monthly lease payments. After months of adding on fees, I just paid it because I was getting so stressed.
Billing has been erratic, late fees tacked on even when I have canceled checks proving they were paid before they were due. I have been unable to reach anyone via phone or email, they have no website for customer service and I have filed a complaint with the BBB of Houston (and urge everyone to do so). I waited on hold during business hours for one hour and was finally connected to an answering service.
The owner lives in California and touts his Christian morality - but I believe that, like many con artists and crooks, he may be the proverbial wolf in sheep's clothing. That part was a vent - the rest is true.
Well after 8 months finally made contract with Kilowatt financial . They called me on account I had not paid my bill for 5 months. I asked them to email me a signed contract , she looked up my account a guess what could not find one.
So I then said find my contract and send me hard copy and put it in the mail . Been one week still nothing, I then asked her to check my panel source and guess what there not working .So I am waiting for them to set me up a appt for service .

My solar system is functioning but the "data module" has not been connected to the internet for more than 2 years. As such, Kilowatt Financial has not been receving any data on energy production from the solar system. However, they continue to send a "Production by Month" graph that shows the apparent energy production. Clearly, this is fabricated as the system has not sent them any data. This is not the first time they have made stuff up on the billing statement. The folks at customer support are clueless, but they are not the ones gaming the system.
The fraud is perpetrated by the senior level leadership team. Hopefully, others will report simialar stories and eventually a law enforcement fraud investigation will nab those involved.
