Martin Klagholz contacted me claiming to be my "Pitney Bowes rep" stating that our Pitney Bowes contract was up for renewal. Martin Klagholz offered a "better machine which would lower my payment". Trusting this scam artist I signed a new agreement.
About week or two later I received a machine which was clearly not up to par with our existing Pitney Bowes model. I should have stopped things right then and there. Next, I was told that I would receive a refund for postage on my machine but had to set up a different postage account. Nothing was adding up. I then received bills from a new vendor as well as Pitney Bowes.
At this point I was livid, I contacted Key Business and was told that Martin Klagholz was unavailable but the girl I spoke with could help me. The girl (I think her name was Tonya) explained that the company severed ties with Pitney Bowes because they had poor service and we're not ethical, and that we now have a different machine that is not Pitney Bowes.
WHAT? EXCUSE ME? Now I have two leases and am told I misunderstood the whole thing. I understand CLEARLY how sneaky Martin Klagholz and his companies are. Mr. Klagholz was very calculated in his causal presentation of our upgrade through his representation of himself as Pitney Bowes I believed that I was updating my Pitney Bowes Machine. I will post the outcome of this mess very soon!
We recently upgraded our Pitney Bowes machine in the summer of 2018. Shortly after upgrading, I received a call from Oak Systems (whom I already knew lost their license as a Pitney Bowes new equipment reseller). The gentleman on the phone identified himself as Jim Caldwell from Key Business Solutions. Mr.Caldwell proceeded to tell me that he has scheduled me for a preventative maintenance call. Now I am on high alert since they've never once performed a preventative maintenance call over the course of several years. I then informed Mr. Caldwell that we already upgraded with a licensed Pitney Bowes representative. Mr. Caldwell immediately became irate and began screaming at me, telling me that I have a contract with his company and they will sue me for breaking it if I don't immediately send back the new machine. Needless to say I was very shook up and ultimately hung up the phone on him.
After this crazy phone call I researched Oak Systems. It turns out that my instincts were dead on. Oak is run by 2 gentleman from Philadelphia with checkered pasts. Martin C Klagholz and P. Gary Shank are the ones in charge. I learned that they have been charged with Fraud, Racketeering, Tortuous Interference, and several other criminal acts. As I dug deeper, I learned that Gary Shank, and both Martin C. Klagholz and his father (who shares the name Martin) have been in trouble several times with several parties for similar crimes. I am not at all surprised by the behavior of their employee, Jim Caldwell after reading about the criminal nature of their business practices over the years.
Beware and stand firm against the abrasive practices and criminal practices of Key Business Solutions and Oak Systems. Corporate criminals will do and say anything to line their pockets. I'm so glad that I trusted my instincts and did not contract with Oak Systems / Key Business.
