Kevon Ward was retained to make a prop for a play. He was commissioned to create the prop in August 2017. Between August 2017 and October 2017, Kevon Ward did not submit an invoice for his work. Three written communications were sent to him in October about the lack of an invoice, and one conversation was had about the lack of an invoice.
An invoice was finally received on November 2, 2017, and a payment was sent to him via bill payment at a bank. 15 days later he contended he did not receive the payment. A request was made that he sign a document advising the bank that the payment was not received. He refused to sign the document. Due to his failure to verify in writing the lack of receipt, the bank could not immediately address the issue of a cashier's check that allegedly was lost due to banking regulatory rules pertaining to that type of bank draft and the manner in which a stop payment can be processed.
All other parties involved in the production were paid at the time the last performance occurred, except Kevon Ward based on his failure to submit an invoice and then his representation that he didn't receive payment and his failure to verify in writing that lack of receipt. The conduct of Kevon Ward stalled the payment process.
Kevon Ward then filed a frivolous lawsuit against a member of the board of the nonpropfit organization that produced the play. He was advised multiple times in writing that the lawsuit was frivilous and would be dismissed. The lawsuit was dismissed by the court because it was in fact unlawful, frivolous, and pursued with the sole intent to harass the board member.
While Kevon Ward pursued a frivilous lawsuit, no additional action was taken to pay him until that wrongful case was dimissed by the couort. Kevon Ward ultimately was paid for his work.
Kevon Ward has continued his harrassment by stalking the board member, both online and in the brick and mortar world. For example, law enforcement was called to remove Kevon Ward from a municipal auditorium, where he was stalking the board member who was speaking at the venue. Kevon Ward has threatened the board member with physical violence, has created photoshopped essentially pornographic images of the board member, broadcast on social media that the board member (who is a long-time published author) plagiarized everything the board member wrote, wrote that he hoped a victim of sexual assault would be raped again, and a multitude of other improper and likely illegal activities. Kevon Ward stated that he would "destroy" the board member by maligning him online. Because Kevon Ward is unemployed, he literally has spent innumerable hours every day of the week since November 2017 stalking and attacking the member of the board of directors.
Realizing that few people utilize the services of Kevon Ward, this report nonetheless has become necessary. His stalking and harassing conduct since November 2017 has necessiitated the initiation if legal action against him.
