I’m not normally the one to write a review but the service was horrible. I’m a big fan of Honda but I will absolutely never shop at this location again. In fact, I Highly recommend you do your research before making ANY purchases or services. “Over promise and under deliver should be their motto. “ They offered my son an amount for his dirt bike, had it for over three months and then changed the deal at the end of the season when we still had not received our check. Things changed once they had my sons dirtbike in their hands and they were more interested in a trade than writing a cheque (for what they initially offered). We did discuss that shortly but we decided that wasn’t the best option - especially with their customer service history. Ha just in mentions to friends, sports teams I’m involved in, etc, it’s amazing the stories coming out. Yikes.
After the owner heard we were no longer doing a trade, he took the angle that we now needed to register the dirt bike at ICBC, the government insurance registry so instead of their $15 fee that they’d incur, it would be more than 25% of the bike value in taxes for me to pay!! The insurance company, that is a dealer of ICBC, even had a call with the owner and myself explaining that this is ridiculous… But the owner could care less. He had some sort of argument that his insurance company which also is a representative of ICBC, was unable to do that. I called the dealer the following day to confirm that he was in fact incorrect and they also thought that was strange that he was making things so difficult.
No idea why a business person would take this angle. I absolutely gave him the opportunity a few times to make this right… But he’d rather focus on “what’s in it for him” and push the trade angle... which I guess was their whole plan all along. It’s now the end of the season for dirt biking, so not the best time for us now to sell the dirt bike. Weird. Anyways - his choice. We were in the process of buying a UTV and a Honda generator but we’ve already made that purchase from Penticton, which had awesome service BTW and mentioned that the Kelowna Honda Powerhouse sends them boatloads of business. In today’s society I am blown away that owners decide to do business this way… Incredible. Anyways, just how they handled the situation was horrible enough that I think it’s healthy others know how it went. Highly recommend NOT buying from Kelowna Honda Powerhouse (just ask around)
