Kelly MacArthur is a Lake Worth, Florida based sales rep for L'Dara — L'Data sells personal care products via a MLM structure. When I met with Jane at a local restaurant (she works there), it was obvious she had already consumed quite a number of drinks. Not one to judge, we had a pleasant chat about our lives and kids, and discussed various L'Dara products. I placed an order for about $250 worth of product, paid in cash, and was told she'd have a receipt for me tomorrow. A week goes by, and I don't hear from Jane, my emails are not returned, and my phone calls and voice mails aren't answered. Thinking that perhaps something bad happened, I asked our mutual friend to help. A day or two later, Jane calls, screaming at me for not having any patience. That took me back, having paid cash and not gotten any receipt, I was justifyably concerned. Stressed out and unhappy, I asked for a refund, Jane exploded and hung up. Later that evening, I received a text message from her, asking me to show up at the same restaurant, where I'll get all of my money back. I met Jane (and her daughter) an hour later. Clearly intoxicated, Jane doesn't say a word, throws an envelope full of money at me (it was $20 short), jumps in her car, and takes off.
