Kate Tirion is a treasure house of inspiration about the high grasslands of southeast Arizona. Her knowledge of the systems that influence our landscapes is amazing. She can read the landscape and show you how to tell what the effects of wind, water, fire, erosion, wildlife and human impact will be on a particular place. The gardens and greenhouses that she creates are beyond the beyond. They not only produce food but habitats in an all inclusive web of interweaving that nourish humans, the ecosystem and wildlife. Kate is a master gardener extrodinaire, whose talents go far beyond putting plants in the ground. She is also a restorer, who heals damaged landscapes and helps others to imagine how they can also create an integrated healthy resilient living legacy wherever we live.
The complainant is an ex wife of 30 years. She is a wounded person with clinically diagnosable psychological problems. She uses social media and the web to throw slings and arrows every few months or every few years. We have a legal order of protection against this disturbed and violent person. If you wish to know about the work of Deep Dirt Farm Institute come and visit, our work speaks for itself. A significant part of our work involves inviting the public to come and see what we do.
The contrasting farm that hosts the Earth Harmony Festivals invited Kate Tirion to be its Keynote speaker in 2016. Kate will be speaking at this event again in 2017 ~ she has been invited!
DEEP DIRT FARM INSTITUTE LLC, owned by Kate Tirion, is not a legitimate farm. It is an organic playground for Kate Tirion and Richard Connolly to capitalizd and profit from. At best it is a collection of Kate Tirion's unfinished projects and produces nothing commercially and benefits no one except the bank accounts of Kate Tirion and Richard Connolly. A legitamite farm in the area is in Tumacocori, AZ , which produces organic foods, herbal teas, body care products and hosts Earth Harmony Festivals, community programs and educartional classes for free. I am not associated with in any way; however I wish to inform the public that the costs and charges at Deep Dirt Farm are exorbitant and a fraudelent scam!
I have been attending workshops, volunteering and following the amazing trajectory of Deep Dirt Farm Institute for a number of years. It is an inspirational place to learn about permaculture, reading the landscape and being able to absorb the unbelievable beauty of the high grasslands. Whether you are harvesting the multitude of greens in the greenhouse; walking the many paths; working on the the water catchment gabions in the wash; planting native species in the restoration areas, or watching the ducks in their pursuit of insects, you are held and engrossed by the intricacies of a resilient and sustainable landscape created by a multitude of volunteers and led by the expertise of Kate Tirion. Hundreds of students & volunteers come every year to learn what it is like to contribute to a ecosystem that in turn feeds and nourishes them. So I highly recommend a visit to DDFI. The work there is inspirational; the land is breathtaking and you will find yourself reconnecting with the essence of what matters.
